Shaw recently shared her story on a GoFundMe page that she organized in the hopes that people will help her through her dilemma.

"Hi, my name is Veronica Shaw, I am the founder of The Pink Sauce LLC. one of the most viral sauce sensations of 2022. As a young entrepreneur with big dreams, I followed my intuition and went forth toward my dreams to create something new. I made a few mistakes on the way. Which lead me to trust a company that is trying to take everything away from me. They lied to me. They are not paying me and are not being transparent about records," she wrote on her GoFundMe page.

Her story continues by explaining that she's tried multiple times to get the company she partnered with to reimburse her for "marketing expenses that I spent my own funds towards."

When the pink sauce first gained social media attention, there were concerns. Many wanted to know why the color fluctuated from one video to the next, and others questioned the shipping process since it needed to be refrigerated. And then there was some confusion with the label information not adding up.

Shaw eventually shared an apology in a video to clear up some of the confusion.

"We have a team. Things happen. The grams got mixed up with the serving size. There’s 444 grams of Pink Sauce inside of each container. It’s about 30 servings per container. It was a mistake. We fixed the issue. You guys will not be receiving Pink Sauce bottles with the bad labels," she explained.

She also explained that she's following FDA standards and her product is being lab tested.

"So once we go through lab testing, we will be able to pitch to stores to put the Pink Sauce in stores, and we’re so excited about that," she explained.
