Tim Conway's Daughter Seeks Restraining Order to Stop His Wife from Moving Him to 'Inferior' Medical Facility

The battle over Tim Conway's health care has ratcheted up another level — his daughter is now seeking a temporary restraining order to stop the comedian's current wife from moving him to a lesser medical facility.

As The Blast first reported, Conway’s daughter, Kelly, is asking a court to appoint her the conservator of her father’s person so she can handle his medical treatments. She claims the “Carol Burnett Show” star suffers from dementia and is "almost entirely unresponsive."

In her original filing, Kelly expressed concern that Conway's current wife, Charlene, was planning to move him out of his current nursing facility and into a lesser quality home.

According to new court documents obtained by The Blast, Kelly has now filed for a temporary restraining order to stop that move. She says, "Moving [Conway] to such a facility without skilled nurses on staff in his current condition will be harmful to his health and life."

Kelly says that Conway currently "is staying at a skilled nursing facility" where he has his own private room and a caregiver who has been assisting him for the last two years and attends to him 24 hours a day.

According to the documents, Tim Conway's "various medical conditions put him at risk of being a subject of medical emergencies."

Kelly believes that Charlene's attempt to move Conway to a lesser facility run "contrary" to his "special personal and medical needs." She describes the new facility as "inferior" and says the staff is not trained to assist someone with his medical problems.

She is asking the court to grant the order or move up the hearing on the proposed conservatorship to before September 1, 2018 because Kelly believes Charlene plans move Conway during the first few days of September.

A judge has yet to rule.
