He said, "I know what it is. I know where we net out and it's very, very moving. That is the term I will use." During the interview, Harbour also revealed that season five won't start immediately after the dramatic ending of season four. Instead, there'll be a small time jump to start off the new season.

"I'm excited to go back. I'm excited to wrap it up in a bold, amazing way. I'm excited to really swing with this character, because you know they're going to pay off these OG characters: Eleven, Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike. They're going to pay them off in big ways because they've lived with you for the past eight years," Harbour shared.

During a February interview with DiscussingFilm, Harbour shared his feelings about the series coming to an end. He said that as much he loves "Stranger Things," it's "definitely time" for the show to end.

Harbour noted, "What's funny is when I started the show, I never ever wanted it to end. That's why I love the show. I think it's a great show, even if I wasn't in it. Now we're almost nine years from filming the first season, and I think it is time for it to end. But it is, of course, very bittersweet."

Harbour explained that although the ending is sad, he and the other cast have "grown up." He said it's time to "leave that nest and try other things and different projects. And to let [creators] the Duffer Brothers try different things as well."

Harbour isn't the only "Stranger Things" cast to share his feelings about the approaching finale season. Gaten Matarazzo, the actor playing Dustin, spoke about it on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" during a March interview. He reflected on how much impact the show has had culturally and in the film industry.

He said, "It's interesting to constantly just be reminded how much people have resonated with it. I mean, it's something that's so important to all of us and has just been essential to the growth that I've had over all of my teenage years into my 20s. It's the defining aspect of the past 10 years of my life, practically the past decade."

Mille Bobby Brown, the actress playing Eleven in the show, also shared her feelings on its ending. She told Vanity Fair that she thinks she's ready but noted that "Stranger Things" has been a "huge factor" in her life. Brown added, "You're ready to go and blossom and flourish and you're grateful for the time you've had, but it's time to create your own message and live your own life."
