Post Malone has been dropping jaws lately with his dramatic weight loss, and he is finally speaking up about it.

The rapper's weight loss has been a hot topic of conversation, and for good reason, as he lost a significant amount of weight in what seems to be a short time. The star's recent disclosure comes after he had earlier quelled speculations of illness or addiction, drawing from his battles with alcoholism.

Post Malone Reveals The Secret To His Dramatic Weight Loss

The 28-year-old unveiled the key to his impressive weight loss, which has been a topic of discussion for fans in recent times. During an appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, the "White Iverson" artist attributed his nearly 60-pound transformation to a single significant lifestyle change: eliminating soda from his diet.

The "Beerbongs & Bentleys" rapper candidly stated, "Soda is so bad. It's so good but so bad." Even though cutting out soda played a role in his remarkable weight loss, the songwriter admitted to holding onto a guilty pleasure. In his words:

"[If] I had a great show, and you know what, I'm feeling a little bit naughty. I'm gonna have myself a Coke on ice."

Although the Grammy-nominated artist openly discussed his weight before and after the transformation with the podcast host, the exact timeline of when he decided to modify his diet remained unclear.

The record producer also shared that his weight dipped from 240 pounds to around 185 pounds after he curbed his soda intake. While backing Malone's soft drink decision, Rogan also acknowledged the value of moderation in achieving a balanced approach to weight loss and nutrition.

The 56-year-old emphasized the occasional reward of a Coca-Cola, highlighting how the body is unfamiliar with such concentrated sugar intake, unlike the natural sugars found in fruits. He humorously explained that when consuming sugary drinks, the body's reaction is akin to, "What the f*** is this?"

Addressing His Health Concerns

In July, The Blast reported that the father-of-one had to defend himself once more, reiterating that he has never engaged with drug paraphernalia. This came after fans raised worries about the singer's condition, observing concerning signs during public appearances that hinted at possible drug use.

Malone conversed with Zane Lowe for an Apple Music interview to set the record straight. While the discussion initially covered topics like parenting, social anxiety, and his relationship with alcohol, it eventually turned to his drug encounters. Confronting the persistent matter, the "Psycho" rapper said:

"I mean, first off, I shouldn't have to really justify anything to anyone, but I appreciate the concerns that people have. But then it just goes from like, 'Hey, I hope he's fine.' But then the rumor starts that I'm doing hard drugs, which I've never done in my entire life."

Though not involved in heavy drug use, the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" cameo star openly admitted his dependence on alcohol to enhance his music creation. He said:

"But now, if I drink and I'm not doing a show or recording… And yeah, that's another. I have a very hard time expressing myself via recording if I'm not a little f***ed up. It's a good spot now because if I'm not recording, or I'm not talking to people, or if I'm not doing shows, I really do drink just to have fun."

Debunking Drug Use Rumors

In April, during his European tour, the "I Like You" artist confronted drug rumors. Malone shared a picture on Instagram featuring him posing beside a pair of combat cowboy boots. The caption read:

"Hello everybody, I hope you're having a great night. i wanted to say that i'm not doing drugs, i've had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i'd suppose, performance on stage. i'm having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier."

The "FishCenter Live" musical guest revealed that his transformed appearance resulted from substantial dietary changes. His motivation behind these changes was to ensure a lasting presence for his newly born child, whom he welcomed in 2022.

Furthermore, Malone expressed his intention to eventually quit smoking and drinking, recognizing that accomplishing these goals might require more time.

He conveyed a message of positivity to his fans, sharing, "you make my heart beat. i just wanted to say hi, and hopefully i'll be posting more on here, my brain is in a super dope place, and i'm the happiest i've been in a long time."
