Vanilla Ice was one of the passengers aboard the Emirates flight from Dubai to New York that left over 100 people sick from a mysterious illness, but the star was riding in a different level than the exposed passengers and unaffected by the sickness.

The Blast just spoke with the rap star moments after he was allowed to de-plane after being cleared by officials. He says, "I didn't think it was that big of a deal," adding, "During the flight there was a situation, they told us we would be in the middle of the runway after a 15-hour flight. They said there are some passengers that are ill so we are going to go out on the runway and hang out."

Ice explained that the plane was a double-deck aircraft and he was seated upstairs in first class. The outbreak occurred down below, and he said that after it was discovered how many passengers were sick, "They sealed off the two floors and eventually removed first class at a separate entrance."

The "Ice Ice Baby" star says he was greeted by a heavy police presence, with emergency responders everywhere. He was given a quick exam by officials and filled out a health form.

Ice says he is feeling fine, just extremely tired after a 15-hour long flight plus the drama once they landed. He missed his connecting flight because of the incident but is now catching a connecting flight back home to Florida.
