Where Exactly Is "Temptation Island" Filmed?

Temptation Island
USA Network

According to USA Network, production did an extensive search of Maui to find the right houses for the men's and women's villas, making sure they aren't next door neighbors.

The most important aspect of finding the perfect location is finding a place that the crew can easily film everything that's going on at both villas and keeping the women's villa and men's villas far enough away from each other so they can't communicate or hear anything that's going on.

David Goldberg, CEO of Banijay Studios North America said, "We don't want the villas to be too close to each other to ensure that the cast can't communicate between houses or even hear what's going on." He continued to say that for season 4, the girls' villa was in the mountain above Lahaina and the men's villa was located on the beach near Kaanapali. Season 5 was filmed in the same location, and the villas were about a 20-minute drive from each other.

During the reality show's earlier years, the filming location was changed up each season. The first season was filmed in Belize, the second in Costa Rica and the third in Honduras.
