Terry Crews has settled a lawsuit with his former agent, who he claimed groped him during a party back in 2016.
According to our sources, Crews, Adam Venit and William Morris Endeavor have agreed to a settlement and will move to dismiss the case.
It was reported today that Venit was leaving his position at WME and our sources say that move is related to the settlement but another source tells us it was not a specific stipulation. Sources close to Venit also say that WME will be implementing new workplace policies about the kind of behavior Venit was accused of.
Crews came forward with the allegations last year and eventually filed a civil suit against Venit and his former agency, WME.
He initially made his claim on Twitter, writing, "This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates. Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk.”
Terry Crews went on to say that the man (who he later identified as Venit) called him “the next day with an apology but never really explained why he did what he did.”
Venit denied the allegations in his response to the lawsuit.
