Dua Lipa Sizzles In Vacation PhotosÂ
Dua Lipa set pulses racing on Instagram in a series of captivating bikini photos. The "Levitating" hitmaker is currently vacationing in Greece with her boyfriend, French director Romain Gavras.
In the first snapshot, she confidently posed in a blue patterned bikini that flaunted her tanned, toned body. With a hint of underboob, she gazed into the distance on a luxurious boat, covering up with a white beach shirt and a pale pink skirt.
Another photo showed the 27-year-old sunbathing in a yellow bikini, flaunting her abs and wearing stylish red shorts and a vibrant necklace.
In a casual shot, Lipa wore a light blue co-ord set by the crystal-clear sea, adorned with beaded necklaces and chic black sunglasses. Lipa and her partner cozily embraced against the ocean backdrop, illuminated by the setting sun.
The post also included breathtaking landscapes and scenic views among the captivating snapshots. Dua captioned the series with "sailing through the Peloponnese," capturing their picturesque journey.
Dua Lipa's Third Album Set For Release In 2024
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Lipa disclosed that she's in the final stages of completing her third album, slated for a 2024 release. Unlike the common trend of artists announcing and postponing records, Lipa's organized approach ensures she's on track to meet her deadline. "If I wasn't as organized as I am, I would be a mess right now," she shared.
The "One Kiss" hitmaker catapulted to global pop icon status after the release of her second album. During the pandemic, "Future Nostalgia," leaked at the start of lockdowns.
Despite disruptions to her planned rollout and tour, she emerged as a prominent figure of the pandemic era as she became the sole female artist with two albums exceeding 10 billion streams on Spotify.
While her upcoming album will still embody pop, Lipa shared that she is exploring new sounds inspired by 1970s psychedelia, though she's keen not to "alienate" her fans. She also revealed that she is collaborating with a smaller group of songwriters and subtly hinted at working with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala.
Dua Lipa Sued For Copyright InfringementÂ
Music producer Bosko Kante sued Lipa, alleging unauthorized use of his talk box recording in her hit single "Levitating." The filed claim in Los Angeles asserts Kante's right to over $20 million in profits from the track's success.
Per Reuters, Kante contends that while Lipa had permission to use the talk box in the original recording, she violated copyright by incorporating it into remixes, including "The Blessed Madonna" remix and her performance at the American Music Awards.
It's not the first time the singer has encountered legal challenges related to the hit song that spent 77 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Reggae band Artikal Sound System filed a lawsuit in March 2022, alleging that the track replicated the hook of their 2017 song "Live Your Life." However, the case was dismissed in June.
Another ongoing case involves songwriters L Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer, who claim that Dua utilized the melody from their 1979 song "Wiggle And Giggle All Night."
Dua Lipa: The Singer, Actress, And Podcast Host
Beyond her musical achievements, Lipa has also ventured into other parts of the entertainment realm. The "Dance The Night" singer is currently working on the third season of her podcast, "Dua Lipa: At Your Service," in conjunction with Service95, where she engages in conversations with various figures, including artists like Billie Eilish and Dan Levy, activist Brandon Wolf, and writers like Min Jin Lee and Esther Perel.
Earlier this summer, Lipa introduced the Service95 book club, featuring Douglas Stuart's "Shuggie Bain," a gay coming-of-age story as the inaugural choice.
Additionally, Lipa collaborated with Donatella Versace on a fashion collection, reflecting her "La Vacanza" Instagram aesthetic of poolside relaxation. She also made her acting debut as a cameo as a mermaid in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," aligning well with the doll's multifaceted character.
