Back in 1992, Cindy Crawford came to a screeching halt at a gas station in a red Lamborghini before glugging a cool Pepsi can - as two boys watched, spellbound. It's been more than 30 years since but Crawford's still got it, only this time, she's choosing a Margarita, even if she draws a line at four! But why is that making fans angry?

What Is The "One Margarita" Song?

Frankly, it's the most sex-positive summer song of 2023, even though it came inspired by an "anti-sex" evangelistic talk. It all started with 64-year-old Cynthia Smock, better known as Sister Cindy, an evangelist with many followers on TikTok. Smock has made it her life’s goal to preach against “sexual sins” and one of her speeches revolves around explaining, in great detail, what a girl will do if a boy buys her margaritas.

At the Free Speech Alley at Louisiana State University, Smock emphatically told the students, "If you buy her one margarita she will spread her legs!" Things get even more graphic in detail, as to what a girl will do with a pe—s, as the margaritas grow from one to two, three, and four. A video of Smock's speech has been watched almost 9 million times on TikTok and ironically, it’s a line from one of her speeches that inspired the 2023 summer jam "One Margarita."

Plenty of youth had more questions for Sister Cindy, commenting:

"What if I'm a girl trying to pick up a girl? What drink do I get her?"

"This is what being socially unaware looks like. You told them why they SHOULD give her margaritas."

"This is such a great ad for margaritas."

It also inspired Angel Laketa Moore, an influencer and actress who goes by the handle “That Chick Angel” on YouTube and TikTok. She heard Sister Cindy’s speech and with a creative burst of energy, took the evangelist’s words and remixed them into a rap song. Much like the speech, the song details what happens after she drinks one, two, three, four, and yes, even five margaritas.

Cindy Crawford Does A Pepsi Reboot For "One Margarita"

When Saucy Santana, the guy best known for his “Material Girl” video decided to step in for a remix, he did so with Giant Music. The label already had a relationship with Casamigos, the tequila brand shown in the new video. Proving that the world is a small, small place indeed, it turns out Rande Gerber, Crawford’s husband, is a co-founder of the brand. It seems between Gerber and their kids, Cindy Crawford was convinced to do a “Pepsi Reboot”, Margarita style.

Much like the Pepsi ad, Crawford steps out of a sports car, sporting the same white tee and blue denim shorts outfit from the ‘90s, as the bartenders watch her, open-mouthed. She walks to the bar and orders a ‘Rita, before Moore comes and violently pushes her off the camera, as part of the script.

Fans apart, this slayed the celebs too as both Porsha Williams and Lisa Rinna appreciated it. Meanwhile, since Crawford demanded "Gimme a ‘rita!" in the caption, Rita Wilson cheekily responded, "I’m a Rita. What do you need?"

Meanwhile, here's the original Pepsi ad. READ THE CAPTION, where Crawford claims she still has the shorts!

It seems some of Cindy Crawford's die-hard fans have a problem with that "push" Moore gives her, that makes her fall and disappear off camera.

Comments began gushing in:

"The push was not necessary. I am sorry for Cindy C. She is a SUPER MODEL."

"That push wasn’t necessary though. Can’t we all just get along? I’m sure Cindy had fun with it though. Cindy is a pro."

"What was the push about? Makes zero sense, please explain?"

This prompted several other fans to try and explain that it was all part of a pre-written script that everybody is in on, "Cindy signed on for the whole thing. Including the PUSH! OMG, it was part of the effect. What a bunch of snowflakes." Another piped, "No Cindy Crawfords were harmed in the making of this video!"
