The "Christina on the Coast" star wrote a note to the post, "My parents are currently in Maui, I'm grateful they are ok. Maui is my favorite place on the planet. I've been going to Lahaina every year since I was a child. What's happened there is beyond devastating. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these horrific fires."

As the extent of the devastation caused by the Maui fire becomes evident, concerns are arising about the timeliness of official warnings to residents. BBC reports that evacuations began locally on Tuesday, initially followed by an assurance that the flames were fully contained. However, by the following day, rapid-moving flames had consumed Lahaina, with officials reporting that approximately 80% of the town had been annihilated.

Although a few individuals mentioned receiving text alerts, the reason behind the lack of broader warnings remains to be determined. Numerous residents have recounted how robust winds disrupted communication systems hours before the fires approached.

Hawaii boasts the world's largest all-hazard public warning system, encompassing over 400 sirens throughout its islands to notify people about various dangers. However, the head of the state's emergency management agency, Adam Weintraub, revealed to the Associated Press that records indicate the sirens were not activated this Tuesday.

Mr. Weintraub explained that officials relied on emergency alerts sent to mobile phones and broadcasting through TVs and radio stations. Addressing journalists on Thursday night, Fire Chief Bradford Ventura explained that the flames, driven by powerful winds, advanced so swiftly that alerting residents became "nearly impossible."

Christina Hall's Parents Supported Ex During Their Split

Although the former pair presented the epitome of relationship goals, the reality behind the scenes was a different story of struggles. Fans will recall that their journey began with a 2009 wedding, which brought forth two children, Taylor and Brayden. Beyond their bond, they joined forces to create a thriving business and even weathered the storm of El Moussa's dual cancer diagnosis in 2013.

Despite attempting counseling to mend their relationship, they eventually chose to go their separate ways. Naturally, fans were taken aback by their marital dissolution, but the news hit Hall's parents particularly hard, causing tension in her relationship with them for a period.

The "Brother Vs. Brother" judge revealed that her ex-husband communicated more frequently with her parents than she was, leading them to hear mainly his perspective on the breakup.

Her mom and dad hoped the couple could reconcile, given their shared parenting of two children, and jointly established successful careers. Upon realizing reconciliation was unlikely, the elderly duo, who themselves have nearly 50 years of marriage, understandably felt disheartened.
