According to reports, White, the 66-year-old "Wheel Of Fortune" co-host, will be absent from upcoming episodes of the game show. White, who has been a mainstay of "Wheel Of Fortune" and popular culture since she began hosting the show in the early Eighties, has reportedly been in the middle of a contract dispute.

White's co-host Pat Sajak is said to be paid "more than half" of what she is making, and the hostess is looking to rectify the issue.

If White is given the raise she is seeking, it will reportedly be her first raise in 18 years.

In the midst of the alleged contract dispute, White was also reportedly sick with COVID-19 last month. Her illness called for the recipient of the show's "Teacher Of The Year" from its "Teachers Week," which, according to The New York Post, was being filmed at the time, to temporarily step into White's shoes.

The Teacher of the Year recipient is Bridget Donald-Blue. Donald-Blue will be White's replacement for the entirety of 'Teachers Week,' the outlet also reports.

The last time White reportedly spent a noticeable period of time away from the "Wheel Of Fortune" cameras was almost three decades ago.

White's co-host of over four decades won't be returning for the show's 41st season. Sajak's successor will be entertainment titan Ryan Seacrest!

While "Wheel Of Fortune" will get to live on, White has spoken publicly about the sadness she has felt over her 'brother' co-host exiting the show. In an interview with Peopleper our report, White dished about the close relationship she has maintained with Sajak over the years and admitted the thought of hosting without him feels "depressing."

"I don't even want to think about that," White told the outlet in part, about moving on from her legendary career. "I mean, we're a team. That's depressing. I don't even want to think about it," she repeated.

White went on to say, "I can't image. Everybody relates 'Wheel Of Fortune' to Pat and Vanna. We're like Ken and Barbie, you know? We've been in everybody's homes for 40 years, so it would be weird to have somebody else turn my letters."

While reflecting on her job, the "Wheel Of Fortune" hostess also described her experience as being "incredible. I cannot believe it's been 40 years. Honestly, I've loved every minute of it."

She knows it's a rarity to be in her position. White continued, "Who still says they love their job after 40 years? Me! I really do. It's a fun show. Everybody watches it and enjoys it and it changes people's lives and it makes people happy. So it's a great job," White said.

As of this writing, White has not spoken out regarding her reported contract negotiations.
