Taylor Swift announced "1989 (Taylor's Version)" during a tour stop at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. By Friday morning, all exclusive variants of its CD edition have sold out!
This may be some 'Treacherous' news for some 'Swifties' who were waiting to obtain a copy-or several- of the different colored covers exclusively available in Swift's merchandise store on her website.

Following the "Cornelia Street" singer's initial announcement, her official management team took to Instagram to announce the availability of the four CDs, which also came with exclusive sets of Polaroid pictures.
According to Taylor Nation's Instagram reel, fans and followers had until 7PM on Sunday, August 13th, (89 hours from the announcement drop), to get the goods! The post also warned of the chance of supplies running out before time ran out.
Swifties were aghast to discover supplies did indeed run out by Friday morning!
The 33-year-old's devoted fanbase took to social media to sound off about the disappointing turn of events.

Following the announcement at SoFi stadium, Swift took to her social media accounts to commemorate the release of "1989 (Taylor's Version)." Swifties have recently experienced a similar announcement: Swift announced "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in May!
Per the "This Love" singer's Instagram announcement she wrote, "Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you 🔜! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! Pre order 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on my site 🩵😎🩵"
"1989" was originally released on the same day eight years earlier!

So happy I just decided to go for it and buy all four of the limited edition #1989TaylorsVersion CDs right as they dropped after the announcement. Could they actually not be limited, possibly - but I’m not taking that chance and they sold out pretty quickly.

"i'm so luckyi'm stupid and without self control. I did not know those taylor 1989 cds were extremely limited. I bought all four, now they're completely sold out," a fan expressed.
"1989 was not my fave when it came out, still isn’t, but obviously I had to get the vinyl and the blue deluxe CDs but now that the rose one sold out too I’m like “should I have gotten all 4?? Is this gunna end up like the folklore vinyl variant situation?” a Swiftie asked.
Perhaps Swifties could see a restock in the "All Too Well" singer's official store before the album's October 27th release date! Good luck, Swifties!
