Sydney Sweeney showed off her stunning figure in a pink Versace swimsuit, turning up the heat for a captivating Variety photoshoot.
For her photoshoot, the 25-year-old actress stunned in a bubblegum one-piece, paired with Barbiecore pink platform heels and a statement gold necklace as she posed atop a block of ice.
In another steamy shot, the "White Lotus" star sucked on a pink lollipop and flaunted a pink and blue houndstooth top, her chrome manicure adding a sass. She proudly shared the cover photo on Instagram, writing in the caption, "honored to be one of @variety power of young Hollywood this year."
Sydney Sweeney Says She's 'Beat Up' By Rumors
Speaking to the publication, Sweeney revealed that she started auditioning for roles at 12 and meticulously crafted "character books" for her roles, ensuring a clear separation from her personal life.
"I wanted to make sure that none of my memories, my own life, was in character," she explained. "I think that's what makes me feel the most human, is being able to have stuff that's personal to me."
The Emmy nominee also shared that her parents played a pivotal role in her Hollywood voyage, backing her through auditions' ups and downs. "I was going to five to ten auditions a week and not getting a single callback," she recalled.
However, despite the odds stacked against her, Sweeney held onto her belief.
"I always believed that you're prepared to fail if you have a plan B. No matter how hard or long it would take, I would keep working at it," she shared. Triumph arrived with notable roles in "Everything Sucks," "The Handmaid's Tale," and "Sharp Objects."
Reflecting on her industry experience, Sweeney underlines her learning: steer clear of rumor responses and anchor focus onto projects. She also addressed the swirling rumor around her family's politics, admitting to feeling "beat up by it." She added, "It's hard to sit back and watch and not be able to stand up for yourself."
Sydney Sweeney Addresses Romance Rumors With Glen Powell
In April, romance rumors stirred when Sweeney and "Top Gun: Maverick" star Glen Powell appeared close on and off the set of their upcoming rom-com "Anyone But You."
They further raised eyebrows as their chemistry was palpable at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas, where Sweeney humorously unveiled her nickname for Powell, dubbing him "Top Gun." Their playful banter continued as Powell expressed his fondness for the handle, saying, "I love when she calls me that."
However, following months of speculation about their romance, Sweeney finally addressed the buzz. She confirmed their strong bond and brushed off the romance chatter.
"It's a rom-com," she told the outlet, adding, "That's what people want! Glen and I don't care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much."
The actress clarified their rapport, saying, "He's such a hard worker, and I'm a hard worker. We're excited about the press tour, and I just left ADR with him. We talk all the time like, 'That's funny.'"
Sydney Sweeney Defends' Euphoria' Director Again
In another part of her interview, Sweeney strongly supported Sam Levinson, the mastermind behind "Euphoria" who has faced escalating criticism for his projects.
Sweeney praised Levinson's directorial prowess amid the HBO drama's racy themes. She affirmed that alongside her "Euphoria" co-stars, they are collectively ready to voice concerns about the show's production if they "didn't feel comfortable with something" or "saw something" they didn't like.
Addressing the public's treatment of Levinson, she empathized with his position, adding, "It's hard to see someone completely trashed by the public and the media when no one's there."
"We are there; clearly, we're still working on the show and supportive."
Sweeney echoed the essence of art as a provocateur, encouraging discomfort and unconventional thinking, explaining, "The point is making people uncomfortable and thinking outside the box. What else is the point of art?"
