Lindsie Chrisley Opens Up About 'Tricky Situation' Of BF Seeking Todd Chrisley's Blessing From Prison

Wedding bells may be ringing for podcast host Lindsie Chrisley amidst her father, Todd Chrisley’s incarceration! 

After finalizing her divorce from Will Campbell in October 2021, Lindsie went back into the dating pool. She found love with a mystery man, Trent, which she already debuted on her Instagram. 

After several months of dating, the duo may have plans to tie the knot. However, the Tv host recently spoke about the chances of walking down the aisle while her dad serves his jail term.

On a recent episode of “The Southern Tea” Podcast, the 33-year-old Chrisley talked about her relationship with her boyfriend Trent, sharing that a prospective marriage might be challenging. 

The former reality star explained that her partner “falls more on the traditional side” regarding a proposal. As such, he would want to ask her dad for her hand in marriage. However, with her father’s prison stint, she’s unsure of the chances of that happening. 

“It's a tricky situation with my parents being incarcerated,” Lindsie shared.“What would that even look like? How do you even approach that? How many visits would be appropriate to do that?” 

She continued, “I mean, you don't just sign up and go to a weekend visit and be like, ‘Hey, by the way, nice to meet you. I want to marry your daughter.’ Like to me, that's not appropriate. So like, how would you handle that situation? I don't know.” 

A few weeks before this confession, Lindsie went Instagram official with her boyfriend, sharing PDA-filled photos from their romantic getaway to Mexico. The ten-slide post began with an alluring view of the “Chrisleys Knows Best” alum in a green bikini, a black crochet coverup, and a white cowboy hat. 

However, the carousel’s highlight was the photos featuring the Tv star’s mystery man. As web in the shots, Lindsie’s handsome lover, captured with his bare chest, grinned beside her as they cuddled on a couch. 

In the post’s caption, the mom of one hinted that she was ready to do her all to keep their love going. She further gushed about how much her new man loves her. She penned,

“I’ve found a man that will carry my bag when it’s too heavy. Who is considerate and quiet when I want to sleep in. Hugs on me all night & reminds me that he loves me every day. Who knew you could be loved this way? Forever grateful. I love you, Trent.”

With a possible marriage to Trent in view, Lindsie already knows what she wants in her marriage, and divorce isn’t on the list. In a previous episode of “The Southern Tea” podcast, the eldest Chrisley daughter declared that divorce isn’t an option in her subsequent marriage. 

Lindsie explained her stance, saying, “I think that we have to dial it back that if you’re putting yourself in a position to get married, then you should be putting yourself in a position to work through all of your problems, and divorce is not an option.”

She then compared her marriage to her ex-husband, Campbell, and her parents. The media personality said, “I came from divorced people, and [Will] didn’t. So any problems his parents have ever had. They’ve worked through them because they’re still married today.”

Talking about her divorced parents' union, Lindsie shared, “Any problems my parents had? First of all, I don’t even remember my parents being together. That’s a whole other story for another day.”

The media personality expressed that her parents' union made her think divorce was regular. The mentality stayed even after her famous dad had a “successful marriage” with his present wife, Julie Chrisley.

“What I came from was two people who left a marriage, so I was like, ‘Well, you know, you just get divorced.’ Like, that was acceptable. And I think that once you allow it to be an acceptable out, that to me is problematic.”

Lindsie declared her new decision. “I would not go into another marriage with the option of divorce. That might be an option for somebody else, but it will not be for me.”
