Salma Hayek Shares A 'Charlie's Angels' Moment, Delighting Fans

When Salma Hayek is not celebrating getting more followers in bikini snaps and viral pool workouts, she's all about love, bonds, and friendship - be it animals, or her gal pals.

Her recent snap with her besties took fans by surprise as they wondered, is this the new Latin "Charlie's Angels?"

Salma Hayek recently posted a stunning picture with her gals pals, Penélope Cruz and Zoe Saldaña. The picture showed Cruz and Saldaña laying back on a couch with Salma coming in for a hug from the side, each looking absolutely stunning in the shot. While Salma Hayek, who’s 56 wore a white peasant blouse rocking a deep rust lipstick, 49-year-old Cruz looked rosy-cheeked in a rusty red tee that matched Hayek’s lips.

Saldaña, 45, rocked a natural face in a black outfit with her trademark grin and the pose clearly showed the deep bond between the three Hollywood stars, each with their own legacy of success.

Hayek captioned the picture, “circle of love, support, empowerment, and long-lasting friendship” and followed it up with an infinity and a black heart emoji, hashtagging the word, “grateful.”

Hayek and Cruz starred in the 2006 action comedy “Bandidas” which revolved around two women bandits and has now become a cult classic of sorts, even though it flopped at the BO. With this new snap, fans wonder, is there a “Bandidas 2” in the making?

Hayek was already relatively established in Hollywood when Cruz came to LA to try her luck. In a 2022 interview with Ellen Degeneres, Cruz spoke highly of Hayek, saying that how, when she came to LA, Hayek took her under her wing even though they had never met before. In fact, the two only had a phone call between them when she landed in LA, return ticket in hand, and planning to stay only for two months.

Said Cruz, “I didn’t know anyone here and she picked me up from the airport and she said, ‘You’re not going to the hotel, you’re coming to my house because this is hard at the beginning and you’re going to feel very lonely.’ So she took me to her house. That’s why now we’re like sisters.”

Cruz narrated how she slept in Hayek’s room because she was feeling scared and apparently also clutched the “Desperado” actress’ hand, saying, “I don’t know, I was dreaming.”

She further gushed about Salma Hayek, “It was amazing that somebody I really didn’t know… She told me, ‘Whether you want to or not, you don’t know me but you’re coming to my house.’ From Day 1 she’s been like that with me.”

Clearly, this Latina friendship is only growing with the years and they seem to be adding more to their tribe... Watch Cruz heap praise on Salma Hayek!

Back when “Eternals” was still under production, Hayek was very excited about being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many reasons, including the fact that Zoe Saldaña was already part of it, as Gamora, in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” spin.

Hayek mentioned this at the time, saying how she would love for Ajak to star with Gamora even if the characters have no history together as per MCU because they, “would have a lot to talk about, and also it would be very exciting because she's a very good friend of mine.”

She admitted it was a tad shallow because she wanted to work with her friend but also added “I think it would be really cool to have the two Latina superheroes going on some special mission, but nobody is talking about the fact that they're Latinas. I'm just Ajak and she's just green."

Fans agree but also feel the trio could be a great new "Charlie’s Angels", Latina edition! Now, if they could only get Sofia Vergara as the new Bosley!
