Chris Rooney, uncle to TikTok famous "Yeet Baby," has had a rough couple of months.

After being reported missing last week, Rooney has checked into a mental health facility. His family shared an update on Instagram so his millions of followers will know that he's been found and is currently getting the help he needs.

Rooney's family is grateful for all the support and concern during these rough times and wanted to give their followers an update on how he's doing after going missing.

"So many devoted Yeet Baby followers have expressed genuine concern for our beloved 'Uncle Chris,' it is for those we share this update," a post on Instagram reads.

"As many of you know, his life the last 6 months have been nothing short of difficult. What you all witnessed leading up to his disappearance was all of his emotions coming to a head. Prior to his disappearance he had seen the movie Sound of Freedom, and like many others, he was sick to his core over it. This prompted him to post links to raise money for the cause of ending child sex trafficking. To many of you this many have seemed odd, but he genuinely watned and still wants to help this cause. Unfortunately, it was posted at a time that he was also visibly not in his right mind and not acting like the Chris we know and love."

The post continued to explain that he was presumed missing the following day and his friends and family feared for his life. They posted on social media looking for him and to help aid police in their search. After many hours of no answers, they got word that he had checked himself into a mental health facility.

"We are sure you all still have a lot of questions, but those are for Uncle Chris to answer once he is healthy and ready to share his experience," the post continued. "He is currently being treated at a mental health facility. Your thoughts and prayers have been so appreciated by him and his family during this time."

The family also shared a message to anyone who's struggling.

"If you are or know someone struggling coping with anything, please talk to someone. You are not alone. We are on this earth for such short time and it's not meant to be spent in despair," they wrote.

They also shared a message from Rooney to his followers and fans.

"The amount of love and prayers I have received not just now but over the years, truly has brought me out of some very low times. Unfortunately, there was nothing anyone could do to help me," he wrote. "It is something that I have to work on and am going to make it my life's mission to not only get myself healthy by also others. If there is one thing I have learned during this time, there are a lot of hurting people in this world and I am going to do everything I can to help them."

The Instagram post sharing an update on Rooney got tons of attention. Many people dropped into the comment section to leave their well wishes for the famous TikTok uncle during his rough time.

"Drives the point home that behind every Instagram life there are problems and real people dealing with them! My hope is that you get better soon!!! I want you to smile again like you made so many of your followers smile every time you posted❤️❤️❤️," one person wrote.

Another follower thanked him for not hiding what's going on, "Thank you for making this public and destigmatizing mental health issues. This will save others."

One follower shared, "Sending you so much love. Proof yet again that what we see on social media does not accurately reflect real life. Know that you are surrounded by people who are about you and keep that with you as a kernel of hope and grace in times of need. ❤️"
