Giving show-stopping performances is nothing new to the Pop icon. However, his ability to make women swoon became a hot topic when Palmer was involved, thanks to her partner.
Following a clip of his girlfriend getting serenaded by the "Yeah!" singer at his concert, Jackson aired his unhappiness over the Primetime Emmy Award winner's clothes. The mother of one donned a sexy sheer black ensemble to the show.
Jackson addressed the video in a tweet, writing: "It's the outfit tho… you a mom." The criticisms did not end there as the "Akeelah and the Bee" actress's beau continued dissing her in a second message.
"We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is," the father of one explained, reaffirming that his lover's actions were against his beliefs.
"This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case," Jackson concluded his tweet. Although Palmer did not publicly respond to his comments, the TV personality subtly clapped back by sharing more pictures of her outfit from the viral night.
Weeks after the couple's social media face-off, Usher defended the "Joyful Noise" star. Talking to PEOPLE, the Texas native stressed that nothing inappropriate had happened as the pair were having a good time.
"I think everybody's vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that's what I hope came out of it," the 8-time Grammy winner began, noting the moment had been blown out of proportion.
"Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song," the 44-year-old revealed. According to the chart-topper, the public's reaction to the event made him concerned about future performances with audience members.
"Every night, I'm thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I'll have with whoever I'm choosing to sing to," Usher confessed. Despite his worries, the R&B star insisted his interaction with Palmer deserved the spotlight for being "fun."
"But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going, and we just keep it light. I don't see anything negative happening in Las Vegas," the entertainer claimed.
As for his infamous status as a "Domestic Terrorist," a label given to the hitmaker by fans after the incident, the Texas hunk was not offended. Laughing off the nickname, Usher chimed: "The internet is crazy. You can't beat the internet."
