We have been seeing curls on Halle Berry for a while now, as she seems to have abandoned her usual straight hair for a more natural look. But no one seemed ready for this serve, as Berry captioned a stunning picture of her in an Afro, wearing a red and black buffalo-checked shirt, writing, “Sunday serve…my man loves this. Forward all complaints to him." She also tagged her man, Van Hunt.

The picture seemed to have a soft light filter on it and made Berry look even more ethereal, and fans were floored as they wrote her multiple compliments, like:

“You could be bald and you will always look amazing, kudos to your man for this look, you wear it well!”

“No complaints, you can wear a trash bag, and still be.”

“It’s impossible for you to go wrong with a hair do!”

“That's what’s up, a fro from back in the days!”

While some of her Instagram followers found it a bit '70s, others felt it was time for Berry to rise and play Angela Davis. Meanwhile, here are more curls, with daisies in tow!

Halle Berry Takes On Menopause…

Berry has always been one straight shooter, be it her teary speech when she received an Oscar, or now, when she takes on what all women face, aka menopause. In a bold new essay that Halle Berry wrote for Women’s Health magazine, the Oscar winner is clear about one thing, she wants you to forget everything you know about menopause as she affirms, “I’m solidly in my womanhood.”

Berry says that at 56, she has a lot more to offer than before, but it’s not about her and her age alone – she wants women to own whatever station they are at.

Wrote Berry, “The most important thing about owning your sexuality as a woman is accepting the station you're at—and embracing that. And I say that because I'm smack dab in the middle of menopause.”

She continues to say that she doesn’t believe the stereotypes about menopause, “I am challenging everything I thought I knew about menopause. Things like: “Your life is over.” “You are disposable.” “Society no longer has a place for you.” “You should retire.” “You should pack it up. I'm challenging all those stereotypes about how you have to look a certain way or feel a certain way.”

Here’s Halle Berry, with “zero blanks to give!”

Halle Berry Feels Her Best Self At 56!

Berry feels she’s her best self now that she is 56 years old as she further affirmed, “I have the most to offer. I have zero blanks to give anymore. I'm solidly in my womanhood. I finally realize what I have to say is valuable, even if no one else agrees.”

While she is mother to daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry, who arrived in March 2008, and son Maceo-Robert Martinez, born five years later, Berry also has advice to give to women in their thirties. “If you're in your mid-thirties, don't be bogged down by the idea that you have to have children by a certain age. You decide. And if you want to have children, you don't have to be defined by those old ideologies that this is what women “have” to do. Do it only if you want to, because you give up a lot of your personal life to growing those other lives.”

The essay was well-received by her fans, immaterial of age and gender. As one male fan wrote, “As a man in his 50’s, this still spoke to me. Thank you.”

Another female fan seconded it, “I could not love this more! My fifties have been my favorite decade by far! And I’ve never felt more fully myself or more excited about the future. We age as we choose.”

Mostly though, fans could not believe that Halle Berry was “fifty f---ing six years old!”
