Hall Blindsided Kaitlin On 'Temptation Island': 'It Was Literally Deja Vu'

Hall broke Kaitlin's heart once again, so now what? Will Kaitlin open up and connect further with Sebastian, or will she leave the island as a single girl?

"Temptation Island" has brought many truths to the surface as well as lessons. Kaitlin, being part of two love triangles, one with Hall and Makayla and one with Sebastian and Mike, is opening up about how Hall's breakup affected her. She recently shared some of her thoughts with The Blast exclusively.

Kaitlin and Hall decided after being in a relationship for eight years and being engaged, that maybe some time on "TI" will help bring some clarity to their relationship and help Kaitlin figure out why she was stalling with the wedding planning. The decision to join the show didn't exactly come easy, but they had high hopes going into it.

"We were back and forth at first, but you know, I hadn't set a wedding date, and I know I was opening a business and everything, but I was just like why is it not a priority on top of all things? So, we're like what do we have to lose at that point?" Kaitlin told The Blast exclusively.

"We're like, let's do it, and I think we just hoped to speed up setting that date and figure out why the heck I was dragging my feet."

But then a few weeks into the experience, the show's first ever engaged couple is now broken up. That's not exactly how Kaitlin saw things going.

"I was completely blindsided. When he walked in the doors, I was like what the heck is going on?" she explained. "I watched the videos and in my head I was like, okay, I really didn't get anything from those videos, so I didn't really think anything of it. And then seeing him walk through, I honestly at first thought they let him leave, we're leaving together, we're leaving the island together."

For a split second, Kaitlin thought they were leaving the island early, getting married and starting a new chapter TOGETHER. But as Hall was breaking the news to Kaitlin that he's not the one for her, she was feeling some deja vu.

"I was just in shock. I kinda had deja vu, because like I mentioned in the season, the breakup before in New York, and I was very blindsided then after three years," she shared. "It was literally deja vu, like this can't be happening again. The look on his face, I was like are you actually kidding me? It was more shock. I didn't know what to say."

It's hard to deny that Kaitlin had formed some connections during her time in the girls' villa. But were they love connections or just friendship connections?

"I had a connection off the bat with Mike. He reminds me a lot of my first boyfriend ever in college, and I just was opening up to him right away, and I was like why do I just feel comfortable talking to you because I'm not super outgoing when you first meet me if I don't know you. I took him on a lot of my first dates because I feel comfortable with him," she said.

"But as the whole love triangle started happening, cause Sebi was never on my radar, I was like you're hot but really, and that whole thing unfolded, Mike was getting jealous and I'm not about the jealousy. I kind of started shifting toward Sebi. And with Hall not in the mix, I think it just pushed me toward thinking what the heck am I doing now - am I staying, am I going, am I pursuing someone else?"

Kaitlin felt more of a physical attraction to Sebi and in turn, she friend zoned Mike.

Watching the show air each week hasn't been the easiest thing for Kaitlin. She's been watching each episode with friends and family and said it's like reliving the experience again.

"There are so many things that I didn't see or wanna hear or see that I'm reliving," she said.

While the experience had its ups and downs, lessons were learned. Kaitlin said she learned some things about herself during her time on the island. She learned to not lose herself in a relationship and to be herself and show the world who she is right away.
