The Lizzo trauma drama continues as we reveal the faces of the victims of the sexual harassment case against her.
Watch Out For These Big Grrrls
There are three women who are suing the international superstar, the women were not afraid to name themselves in the lawsuit and have even taken to their social media to call out the mistreatment and ensure that their stories are true.
Arianna Davis took to Instagram soon after the lawsuit hit the news to spread a little note of positivity foreshadowing that things are about to get way more real than she could have expected.
“In light of everything that's going on please remember that this is not an excuse to be fat-phobic, racist, or just plain mean. No matter what happened please be kind to all parties involved. Thank you,” she writes.
Davis was one of Lizzo’s Big Grrl dancers, she had toured with her for over a year before being fired. At the time, it was for reasons unknown and now, we know. Davis alleges that Lizzo “pressured” and “goaded” her into touching a nude performer's breast.
Davis protested many times that she did not want to do it. After that incident, Lizzo allegedly “badgered a member of her security team to get on stage where she pulled down his pants and hit him with whips, yelling ‘Take it off!’”
Lizzo showed “little regard” for the “bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed.”
Crystal Williams
Williams is another dancer who is in on the lawsuit with Davis, she was fired after sticking up to Lizzo who was allegedly overworking her dancers because she assumed that they were drinking before rehearsals.
She described the 12-hour rehearsals as “excruciating” and would fire dancers at the end if she wasn’t happy with their performance. Davis admitted to peeing herself because she was so afraid to ask to go to the washroom.
Unlike Davis and Williams, the third accuser Noelle Rodriguez got to quit her position and was not berated then fired. Probably berated but at least not fired.
Noelle Rodriguez Witnessed Arianna Davis’ Treatment
The dancer admits in the lawsuit that she got the heck out of there when she witnessed how Davis was treated in a meeting. One time, the singer got in Rodriguez's face like she was looking for a fight.
“Lizzo aggressively approached Ms. Rodriquez, cracking her knuckles, balling her fists, and exclaiming, ‘You’re lucky. You’re so f**king lucky! Ms. Rodriguez feared that Lizzo intended to hit her and would have done so if one of the other dancers had not intervened.”
Dance Captain Shirlene Quigley Is Named In The Lawsuit
Quigley, the dance captain was allegedly so deeply religious that she would often bring that into the workplace. She would allegedly often try to convert the dancers “regardless of protestations.” And if she found out you had premarital sex, well 'shame, shame, shame'. She would go all Game of Thrones on the sinners.
She would often discuss one of the dancer’s virginity and intricate details of the dancer’s life while attempting to pry deeper. More former employees or people who collaborated with the singer are confirming that she is no good.
Backing Up The Big Grrrls
Her former creative director, Quinn Wilson, and dancer Courtney Hollinquest have opened up about their toxic AF experiences with working with Lizzo.
Hollinquest said on her Instagram Story: “For clarification, I’m not a part of the lawsuit – but this was very much my experience in my time there. Big shoutout to the dancers who had the courage to bring this to light.”
Wilson screenshot and shared the message on her own social media page and added: “Echoing what @cquestt said I haven't been a part of that world for around three years, for a reason.”
Yikes Lizzo, the accusations are getting worse
