It is official, Cardi B is not a cheater! A month after Offset accused the songstress of infidelity, the Hip-hop star confessed his claims were tall tales.
The Migos rapper and the voluptuous queen raised concerns about their relationship following the "Hotel Lobby" musician's cheating allegations. This accusation sparked the mother of two's rage, resulting in a fiery defense on social media.
Although many speculated their public spat might have been a PR stunt for their new music, it turned out to be authentic. During a recent heart-to-heart interview, the Lawrenceville native opened up about losing his mind in the heat of the moment.
Offset Admits Cardi B's Infidelity Post Was A Drunken Mistake After The Couple's Banter
The issues between the lovebirds were finally clarified in the latest episode of the "Way Up With Angela Yee" podcast. The episode released on Monday, July 31, captured the father of five getting vulnerable about why he caused a misunderstanding with his cheating allegations.
"My wife f**ked a N**ga on me gang yall n**gas know how I come," the media personality penned in a since-deleted Instagram Story post. When asked to explain his words, the entertainer recalled it had been an emotional day in his house.
According to the "Bad and Boujee" artist, he was feuding with his wife, a situation that worsened on his part because of the "WAP" singer's unfiltered tongue. Her harsh words, coupled with being inebriated at the time, had influenced the 31-year-old's false claims.
"That post, to be honest, like me and her going – it's my wife, I love her to death. Like we're going back and forth, and if you've got a New York woman, you know she's a pitbull at the mouth," the Lawrenceville native explained, adding that he had been drinking Casamigos tequila.
"She get crazy at the mouth a little bit, and I was on some – I was really lit that night. I was lit, a little Casamigos here," Offset continued. "I was lit, and then we're going back and forth, and I'm like, 'watch this.'"
The "Rap Saved Me" paused as though reflecting on his past actions before shrugging and reaffirming his wife's wild side. "She got it, she got a crazy mind, but I love my wife at the end of the day, and she crazy, man," the father of five confessed.
However, Yee was not convinced Cardi was the only "crazy" person in the relationship and implored the Hip-hop star to take some accountability. In response, the Grammy nominee admitted: "I'm crazy. We're crazy for each other."
The Migos Rapper Is Tired Of Being Shamed For His Past Mistakes
Although his cheating accusations were false, the 31-year-old did not acknowledge his mistake until today. When the podcast host wondered why the Lawrenceville native had not set the record straight sooner, the entertainer stated he believed deleting the post signified Cardi's innocence.
Offset confessed he did not owe the public an explanation because the majority went with their perception of the situation instead of understanding the couple. Additionally, the "Clout" artist noted he was frustrated with the frequent attacks against him whenever issues popped up.
"The delete is enough because, like, at the end of the day, them people don't be really knowing what's going on with us, for real," the media personality said. "They always attacking like it'll be straight lives or something, and it'll just be attacking."
Referencing the time he cheated on the "Bodak Yellow" songstress, the chart-topper admitted: "To be honest, like I hate the fact that every time she have issue with somebody else, they bringing me up."
"And then it be like my past, my past be covering up everything I done did like all this time I ain't did nothing, and then it'd be my past," the Migos alum continued. " 'Oh he cheated cheated cheated cheated,' but it's like that sh*t be unfair to me."
Offset stressed he did not deserve to be slammed for his past as he had gone above and beyond to gain Cardi's forgiveness. "I support my wife. We've got so much businesses and big things going on, and as soon as there's an argument, they just attack me."
Given the public's lack of trust, the Hip-hop star declared he would not keep trying to clear his name because he knew fans' perception of the situation was incorrect. Nonetheless, the 31-year-old admitted:
"You get fed up at some point in time like they'd be trying to mess up my household with cap and then bring up my past, and then I can't get past my past. So that sh*t ain't fair."
