Sofia Vergara Responds To Joe Manganiello's Divorce, Agrees On Couple's Prenup

Sofia Vergara responded to Joe Manganiello's divorce filing, and it appears the split is very amicable.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Vergara agrees with her ex-husband that the couple has an iron-clad prenuptial agreement in this case. In many celebrity cases, the existence of this sort of agreement can be the center of drawn-out battles in court. But, this case seems to be a simple one.

In the filing, Vergara agrees the couple has been married for 7 years and separated on July 2, 2023. Plus, she says any spousal support paid by either famous party should be "pursuant to the terms of the parties' Prenuptial Agreement." In other words, she agrees with everything Joe is saying in his divorce filing.

Now, details of the prenup are not included in the filing -- but we are betting it is as simple as she keeps hers and he keeps his money. In most cases like this one, property and assets are normally addressed in the agreement.

Sofia is asking the court to confirm her ownership of "miscellaneous jewelry, artwork, and other personal effects" along with "earnings and accumulations" she had before and during the marriage.

The former couple has no minor children, so child support is off the table. She is asking for each of them to pay for their own attorney's fees.

As we said, all roads point towards this thing being a very amicable divorce.

On July 18, 2023, the ex-couple released a joint statement announcing their split, saying, "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for the respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives." A source added, "Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future."

The breakup made national news after the 'America’s Got Talent' judge was spotted in Capri with her best friends, without her husband.

"When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them," she wrote on Instagram. Several fans noted the absence of her husband, saying, "Is anyone else wondering where’s Joe?” with another adding, “Wondering where her husband is, he hasn’t shown up in any of the photos of videos."

The case is ongoing, but we are guessing they will settle the rest of this case out of court and out of the public eye.
