The artistic gymnast, although unsure of her plans to participate in the upcoming 2024 Olympics, is gearing up to showcase her skills and athleticism in the U.S. Classic, scheduled for August 4-5 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Granting her fans the opportunity to ask her anything, she took to her Instagram Story to engage in a Q&A session with them.
It was during this interaction that one fan inquired, writing, "What's your hardest event to come back to"? Being transparent with her followers, she provided them with an honest response.
"It's always bars… mentally & physically," Biles disclosed. She further wrote, "but this go around…. BABY!!! twisting on any event. 😯 iykyk. mainly because when the twisties happen, you go right into the gym & work on it…. I took over a year off and THEN came back… So I was petrified."
Assuring her fans of her well-being, she added, "But I'm fine. I'm twisting again. No worries. All is good 🫶🏾." While the U.S. gymnast is now doing all right physically and mentally, it was a work in progress for Biles after she suffered twisties during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics - which took place in 2021.
The seven-time Olympic medalist, during an interview, revealed that after she made the tough decision, she received an "overwhelmingly amount of love and support of outreach of fans, family."
Biles added, "I'm just very blessed to still be in this position and to have so many people reaching out, showing love and respect for me. It shines a whole new light on the sports and ourselves as not just athletes, but as a human."
Notwithstanding that the artistic gymnast is making a comeback at the U.S. Classic, the athlete cleared the air on her involvement as a contestant in the upcoming 2024 Olympics.
Appearing on ''The Late Late Show With James Corden," she addressed her position as either a spectator or a player at the widely-anticipated event.
The Ohio native explained, "I think right now I still have to heal mentally and physically, so I think right now, I still have to heal mentally and physically, so I will be in Paris. I just don't know at what role, if that is an athlete or an audience member, so we'll just have to see."
Biles Proved Her Readiness By Backflipping In A Dress
The 26-year-old, in order to mark her grand arrival back to the world of sports, impressed the public by flaunting her artistry talent. Back in June, the renowned gymnast served as a bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding and took to her Instagram to show off the special moment.
Biles posted a carousel of images featuring herself, the bride, and her fellow bridesmaids. In the first frame, the most decorated women's gymnast ever and the bride looked stunning in their attire. She wore a lindworm green sleeveless dress while her best friend sported a sweetheart neckline mermaid wedding gown.
However, the highlight of the carousel was captured on the third slide. Biles brilliantly backflipped with her dress, causing amused spectators at the ceremony to video the remarkable moment.
Captioning her post, the four-time Olympic gold medalist penned, "the one where your bestfriend gets married so much love to my favorite couple @kaylasimonehome @irate. Congrats! Love y'all 🤍."
As expected, her post amassed over 300,000k likes and astonished fans took to her comments section to praise her for the jaw-dropping stunt she pulled while fully clothed.
