As aforementioned, Stanfield and Trice announced their engagement in December 2022. However, the happy news was overshadowed by controversy following a woman's claims of having a "secret family" with the Hollywood sensation.
The drama went down on social media when the model revealed the San Bernardino native had popped the big question during their romantic getaway to the Bahamas. Her Prince Charming got down on one knee while celebrating his lover's birthday.
"Yea.. I'm having the best birthday. My baby made me Mrs. Stanfield for my birthday! #lakeithandkasmereforever," a proud Trice had tweeted. Additionally, she shared pictures of her massive diamond on Instagram.
Shortly after the sweet updates, the artist Tylor Hurd dropped a since-deleted Instagram reel featuring herself and Stanfield. The video montage captured the "Atlanta" star spending time with the entertainer and their baby daughter.
"Decided to leave being someone's secret family in 2022. Meet Apollo Stanfield," Hurd captioned the post. The shocking announcement did not sit well with the actor, who engaged in a heated banter with the mother of his second child.
Stanfield confirmed the baby was his while berating the artist for ignoring his wishes to keep their daughter out of the spotlight. "Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you," the Satellite Award nominee sarcastically penned.

In response, Hurd accused the "Knives Out" actor of denying her and their child's existence to be with Trice. Her allegation read, "Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn't your baby or that I was just a random?"
"You value your privacy, but your gf posts everything y'all do, lol, okay," the social media personality added. Stanfield concluded their since-deleted banter with a defense, writing: "I never once in my life said she wasn't my baby. I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you."
