Meri Brown is giving ultimate hair goals in a new media upload, and it seems to be just the significant change she needed.
Months after confirming that she and her polygamist ex-husband, Kody Brown, have "permanently terminated" their marriage, the long-time "Sister Wives" cast mate is starting an exciting new chapter of her life. Since the separation, Meri has effortlessly remodeled her soul and outward appearance. The TV star just unveiled a new hairdo earlier this week.
Met Brown Shows Off Her Newly Dyed Hairstyle
The TLC star is a new woman and was beyond happy to share the freshness on Instagram. She posted a rather extreme close-up of her "spunky" hair transformation with her 843,000 followers. The image featured Meri's face, ocean blue eyes, and a gorgeous hairdo with additional color.
The 52-year-old wore a green t-shirt and matching cardigan as she stared intensely into her camera. Meanwhile, her face was dressed in skin-like makeup with smokey eyeshadow and a nude lip.
Her bob hairstyle, complete with a long red streak, was the main attraction in the picture. The dusty highlighted brown hair was parted on her right and curled over her left side to fall to her shoulder. In the affiliated caption, Meri stated that this fresh look is tied to her new life. In her words:
"Spunky definition: Courageous and determined. Fiesty definition: Lively, determined and courageous. Just added a little red to match the definition. I definitely don't hate it. New hair to go along with new life."
The TLC personality then sort her follower's opinion when she asked, "What do you think, should I keep it?" Several of her social media followers approached the comments section to compliment the hairstyle, with one fan writing, "Best hairdo yet ❤️. Definitely keep it, looks great on you!"
Another person shared that she looks "amazing," while a third fan wrote, "Looks lovely on you. Makes your eyes pop." While many fans praised her new look, others weren't as impressed, accusing Meri of using some special effects as a finishing touch.
"Filters work wonders," one person chimed, as another slammed: "No one's skin looks that perfect and her eyes are not that blue." Someone else sarcastically wrote: "Filter City, Population: YOU."
As the mother of one isn't even trying to pretend that her look is connected to her new life, it brings to mind when she and Kody officially called it quits in January after being together for over a decade.
At the time, The Blast reported the pair were forced to convey their split via a joint Instagram statement following an unauthorized press release by PEOPLE Magazine. The duo revealed that they are "committed" to resolving family issues that arose within the family before and after their separation.
The statement read: "After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship."
The post also hinted that the breakup was mutual and had plans to resolve the issues straining their polygamous family. They added:
"During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love."
When Meri shared the post on her page, she notified fans that she didn't want any "congratulations" and asked them to leave considerate comments.
Meri Brown Clear The Air On Her Sexuality
Two months after Meri broke off her "spiritual union" with Kody, she was back on the internet to set the record straight on her sexuality. The TV star addressed the rumor people were spreading about her being involved with a female friend due to pictures she posted on social media of herself and her friends.
"It's a common topic of conversation on whether or not I'm going to come out or not," she said. "I am coming out as being straight! So, there you go." The doting mom also pointed out that rumor-mongers will still incite such statements regardless of who she features in her photos. She explained:
"People can't seem to think that I can be friends, completely platonic friends with females or males!"
As the Instagram live session went on, Meri mentioned she had nothing against how other people live their lives but already had her preference. "It's not a bad thing to be. Whatever you want to be is whoever you are. It's not a big deal. I just know what I like," Meri explained.
