Did Rosalía hint at her separation from Rauw Alejandro before it happened? Days before the couple's four-year romance ended, the Spanish beauty fought back the tears during an emotional performance.

Four months after the duo announced their engagement, they reportedly agreed to end their romance. Although the former partners are yet to address their split, it appeared the "Tú Sí Que Vales" contestant publicly broke down over her dissolved love story.

As seen in a fan-filmed video shared on Twitter — which has rebranded to X — the UK Music Video Award recipient struggled through the piano rendition of her viral sensual song "Hentai." While fans cheered, encouraging the Spanish beauty to belt out the passionate lyrics, Rosalía barely stopped herself from bawling.

The media personality repeatedly paused to regain her composure and continue the performance. However, it got to a point where the audience noticed she needed vocal assistance and started singing the romantic ballad.

As the crowd performed her track, the entertainer supported them with the piano, flashing a sweet smile through her tears before taking the lead. Although only the 30-year-old knew the reason behind her tears, her separation from Alejandro could be a factor.

Most Twitter users echoed similar thoughts, blaming the Puerto Rican artist for breaking his ex-fiancée's heart. "Now I’m crying too. The audience singing along gave her a little reassurance," a fan wailed.

"We hate you, Rauw," another social media user quipped while a third accused Rosalía's former beau of having an affair. "Rauw cheater never deserved her," the individual claimed. Additionally, someone compared the duo's breakup to Katy Perry's emotional split from her ex-husband Russell Brand.

"Reminds me of Katy Perry performing right after her phone call breakup …. So sad," the fan wrote. However, not everyone believed the Spanish songstress cried over her separation.

An admirer reminded others the 30-year-old could have been emotional because it was the last performance of her world tour. "She got emotional during her Coachella set this year. She loves what she does," the fan penned.

As mentioned, the "Malamente" singer and her former beau ended their engagement after four months.  Sources confirmed the dissolution of their union, claiming the pair mutually decided to separate despite having much love and respect for each other.

Alejandro popped the big question in March, the same month the lovebirds graced the cover of Billboard. In their cover story for the outlet, the pair revealed they had kept their relationship low-key to solidify their bonds and allow fans to focus on their careers rather than their relationship.
