Gisele Bündchen Unbothered By Tom Brady's Romance With Irina Shayk And 'Wants Him To Be Happy'

Gisele Bündchen is okay with her ex-husband, Tom Brady's blossoming relationship with fellow model Irina Shayk.

A recent report revealed that she wants her ex-husband to be "happy," and she was not blindsided by it all.

Brady and Shayk were first linked at a wedding in May and were recently spotted getting flirty with each other. The former footballer reportedly "thinks very highly of her and where this relationship could go."

More clarifications recently emerged as to Bündchen's reaction to her ex-husband Brady's blossoming connection with Russian supermodel Shayk.

According to a close source, she was initially "upset" when she learned about Brady's new relationship status due to the unforgettable memories they had together before their 13-year marriage ended.

"The emotions from that, especially after sharing children, were as emotional as it gets," said the source, per Daily Mail.

However, she has come to terms with the fact that they will never reconcile romantically. Now, her wish is for Brady to find happiness, even if it entails being with someone else.

"She knew she couldn't hold on to something that was never going to return, she knew this day would come, and she honestly would love nothing more than for Tom to be happy," added the insider.

A source also spoke with TMZ about Bündchen's feelings saying, "Why wouldn't she be happy for Tom? She divorced him. It is helpful to her freedom that he moved on."

Despite her acceptance of Brady's new relationship status, Bündchen reportedly still has a few concerns.

She wants her ex to choose someone "that is not only right for him but right for their kids" and not just any random person that would lead him down a "bad path."

It remains unclear whether Bündchen has reservations about Shayk being the right person for Brady, which could have contributed to her initial upset.

However, the supermodel was allegedly aware of it all from the start, as Brady kept her informed throughout, respecting their shared responsibility as co-parents to their children, Benjamin and Vivian.

"Tom is not stupid either, he made sure that Gisele was in the know, and they still have that communication as co-parents," said the source, who added that she is "currently in a good place with it all and is hoping for the best."

It comes after a recent report revealed that Brady and Shayk are taking things seriously after first linking up at the Sardinian wedding of Joe Nahmad and Madison Headrick in May.

Recently, they were spotted cozying up to each other at Brady's Los Angeles home, and the supermodel slept over at the luxurious residence.

It was also alleged that the duo had an outing together after Brady was seen chauffeuring Shayk in his Rolls Royce.

According to the Daily Mail, a source said about the duo: "They're dating and having fun. It was Tom who invited Irina to his home in LA after they really clicked in May."

They added, "They've been in touch ever since then, trying to line up schedules to meet. They have a lot of chemistry. They're excited to see where it goes but it's still early days."

With regards to Brady's feelings about Shayk, one source said that the former football quarterback "feels that they totally get each other, and he really finds her extremely interesting, entrepreneurial."

According to the insider, Brady also values her "clever sense of humor that really appeals to everything he is all about" and doesn't see Shayk as a "fling."

They added, "He really thinks very highly of her and where this relationship could go. He has zero worry with her, they seem to get each other and get along quite well."

As for Bündchen, it was recently rumored that she has moved on with her jiu-jitsu trainer, Joaquim Valente.

She has yet to confirm whether the speculations are true and only gave a vague response when probed about it for Vanity Fair's April issue.

"I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I'm divorced, I'm sure that they're going to try to attach me to anything," the supermodel told the publication.
