Cher Announces New Tasty Venture With Her Own Gelato Brand: 'All Started 5 Years Ago!

From serenading fans' ears with her sensational music since the 1960s to appearing on several Broadway shows, iconic singer, Cher, seems to have found a new calling! 

The songstress, often referred to by the media as the "Goddess of Pop," gained recognition after she and songwriter Salvatore [Sonny] Bono, whom she married in 1964, released their first big pop hit ''I Got You Babe'' in 1965.  

Going on to win an Academy Award and getting immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Cher certainly knows her onions. However, the singer recently branched out into the world of desserts!

The singer, who originally goes by the name Cherilyn Sarkisian appeared to be in high spirits as she unveiled the opening of her ice cream truck. Sharing the thrilling news with her 2.6 million followers on Instagram, she uploaded a reel, giving a 360-degree view of her latest Gelato business.

In the clip, the colorful ice cream truck was designed with the brand name ''CHERlato,'' including various cone-shaped portraits of the "Strong Enough" singer while her ''Believe" song played in the background. 

Expressing her delight over the lucrative venture, she gushed in the caption, "Yep, This is Real…. I'm Launching My Gelato…. Watch Out LA‼️"

Noting that she started working on the project in 2018, she added, "All started 5 years Ago and Now It's Finally HAPPENING 💃.'' Cher further declared, "More To Come…."

Taken by surprise following her announcement, Cher's followers trooped to the comments section to congratulate the singer, while over 90,000k fans liked the post.

One fan praised the singer, "Serving us looks for decade and now she's serving us Gelato 😫." Another penned, "Love the colors and graphics on the truck! Totally CHERness"! A third fan requested, "Please have melon. I cannot find melon gelato anywhere but in Spain and Italy. Thanks ❤️." One admirer added, "Queen!! You literally invented gelato."

A fourth commenter suggested, "Featuring such flavors as: Ginseng, Tramps, and Thieves– If I Could Turn Back Lime – Dark Chocolate Lady." Providing the meaning behind the brand name, a staunch supporter of Cher revealed, "CHERlato in Polish means ''CHER's summer'' :)) so have a great vacation lads and gents :D."

Cher's decision to focus on making and selling Gelato comes as a delight to fans after it was reported that she and her music producer boyfriend, Alexander 'A.E.' Edwards, decided to end their romantic relationship.

An insider close to the pair confirmed that the once-in-love couple parted ways after more than six months of dating. Although the anonymous source did not state the reason for their separation, they, however, clarified that the engagement rumors about the former lovers were untrue.

According to the source, Edwards and Cher were never engaged to be married, despite the singer receiving a massive diamond wedding ring last Christmas. They nevertheless decided to go with the speculation that it was an engagement ring.

Based on the ''After All" singer's habit of showing off her man on the internet, her failure to do so since March 2023 — when she last flaunted him — affirmed the possible confirmation that the duo was no longer an item.

In the Instagram post she shared four months ago, the pair attended a fashion event, sitting side by side. On her part, Cher looked breathtaking, dressed in a blue ensemble, while the music producer wore a black outfit.

Although Cher already broke up with Edward before marking her birthday, the pop superstar still celebrated her special day in style! The ''Walking In Memphis'' singer took to Twitter to celebrate herself while pondering on an important question.

She tweeted, "Ok, Will Someone 🙏🏾 PLEASE Tell me….. When Will I Feel OLD 👶. This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can't understand them. WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH #'s!? I'm dyslexic & #'s Are hard 4 me." 

She concluded by appreciating her fans, adding, "Thank u for staying, I know it's been hard. Got to go work out. Twitter is harder for me than TweetBot."
