Doja Cat Disses Her "Kittenz" So Top Fan Accounts Shut Shop

Doja Cat recently hissed and swatted at her fans, who call themselves, "Kittenz." Her catty attack resulted in many top fan accounts shutting shop on Twitter, and feeling rather hurt.

The singer and rapper has been in a mood ever since fans warned her about her boyfriend, comedian J Cyrus, who has a rather unsavory reputation when it comes to women. Here's the scoop...

In a recent but now-deleted Tweet, Doja Cat slammed all her fans who dubbed themselves Kittenz, writing, My fans don’t name themselves s---. If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f---ing ‘kittenz,’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”

This comes just a day or two after she recently tweeted how excited she was about her tour and how she loved her fans.

Fans were shocked by her sudden "rudeness" as many wondered what had happened to her, while others felt she was undeserving of their devotion.

When one fan with the account name ‘thekittenzweb’ asked for clarification, wondering why they should change their "fan name" just because she didn't like it, the artist responded bluntly: “Just delete the entire account and rethink everything. It’s never too late.”

Some of her supporters felt, "She’s going through something, clearly. I hope she gets the peace she needs."

More support came from another Twitter user who felt, "Actually she isn't dissing anyone who is a fan. She is telling Stan culture to get a new hobby. Because let's be real, they're the only wack jobs that refer to themselves as fan club names. And she's not wrong. Obsessive Stan behavior is weird and harmful to mental stability."

The controversy didn't stop there as Doja Cat further alienated herself from her fans. When one fan with the Twitter handle, 'doja.cat.iran', requested Doja Cat to stop this and instead express love for her fans, as she frequently does, the rapper was brutal in her reply, "I don’t though cuz I don’t even know y'all."

Things unraveled more when another Twitter user tried to tell Doja Cat off, saying that she shouldn't do this because her fans had always supported her through her ups and downs. But it seems the rapper was in a mood as she badly replied, "Nobody forced you [I don’t know] why you’re talking to me like you’re my mother b***h you sound like a crazy person."

The fallout has continued with more and more fans feeling that she's basically insulting the very people who made her famous as comments continued, like "Dissing your fans who buy and stream your songs which keeps you employed as an artist is not a good look at all."

Further, it is believed that some of her top fan sites have shut shop on social media, with Pop Crave reporting:

Some fans say it's the right thing to do, saying, "Good. she’s nasty, insufferable, entitled, and ungrateful as of late."

Others felt she did the right thing, "We should applaud Doja Cat for fighting back against the para-social behavior so prevalent nowadays, even when it comes with a personal cost for herself."

As far as Doja Cat is concerned, getting into her personal life is a no-go so when fans tried to raise objections to her relationship with controversial actor-comedian J Cyrus, the rapper was having none of it. Apparently, fans were concerned because J Cyrus has been accused of sexual misconduct with several women and also grooming them. So when one fan tried to get a little too personal, the rapper blocked them.
