One part of the video showed the actress on set as she continued hosting duties. Another scene from the footage displayed Bailon playing with her toddler, who was laughing all through, apparently enjoying the moment.
As the scenes unveiled, the “That’s So Raven” actress passed on her message in the voiceover. She began with a firm declaration of her dedication to being a mom. “This working mom’s favorite job and title would forever and always be ‘Ever’s mommy.’” Bailon declared.
She then continued revealing how challenging her days are, trying to balance mom's life with work, noting that some days are good and others aren’t. “But honestly, there are other days when I am so exhausted, and I don’t feel like coming or going, juggling bicoastal living and running two companies.”
“And on the days when guilt creeps in, and I’m super overwhelmed, I pause, and I’m reminded of my greatest blessing and answered prayer. My baby boy, he makes it all worth it. He is my why; he is my motivation to get out of bed every morning.
Ending her message, Bailon left a reminder for other moms. “So, mamas out there, you got this. You’re killing it.” The Daytime Emmy Award winner captioned the post, “a mid-week reminder 🖤 mom guilt is real. i needed this today,” before plugging her YouTube video where she detailed all about mom guilt.
Since Bailon welcomed her adorable son, she has had several motherhood moments, which she has honestly shared. The former Disney star previously shared one worst mom moment about getting intimate with her partner while their son was with them.
“The worst thing about motherhood would be getting it on with a sleeping baby in the room, but you just make it happen,” the new mom shared, noting that the experience wasn’t perfect. “It was fun at first… but now you’re like, ‘OK, this gets awkward.”
‘The Real’ Host Got Candid About Her Surrogacy Journey
“The Real” host has been open through her motherhood journey. In March, she detailed her fertility issues and surrogacy journey in an interview with TODAY. According to Bailon, the experience was anything but easy.
Bailon highlighted that during the IVF process, the doctors could only get four eggs from her. “(We got) four eggs fertilized, so all four of them were getting biopsied," Bailon recalled. “I bragged to the woman doing my hair, like, ‘Today is the day I'm going to find out! Girls? Boys? What do I got?'”
However, the media personality’s hopes were dashed as the doctors told her the process was unsuccessful. Although disappointed and angry, the former singer continued the process and had an implant. Sadly, she miscarried five months after planning to reveal her pregnancy on a pre-taped episode of “The Masked Singer.”
After another failed implantation, Bailon said she had one shot left at being a mother as she only had “one embryo left.” At that point, her doctor asked her to consider surrogacy.
“I remember talking to my mom about it. She was like: 'Why would you want someone else to carry your baby?' That hit me," she says. "I was hysterical. I was like: 'You don't understand — this is my final option. If I implant this child into my body and I miscarried, that was my last chance.'
Deciding to go on with surrogacy, the former singer spoke about her surrogate, describing her as “incredible.” Bailon further confessed to feeling robbed of the experience of being pregnant. Despite the anger and sadness of imagined experiences lost, the Tv sensation revealed she could also create joyful moments during IVF.
