Is he moving on too fast? Less than six months after announcing their separation, Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband Jim Toth has allegedly bounced back with a new woman.
The Hollywood veteran and the talent agent called off their union after eleven wholesome years in March. The pair announced their divorce via a joint statement on social media, stressing they would move forward with "mutual love" and "kindness."
However, it seems the father of one is wasting no time opening up his heart to someone else. Despite the duo's ongoing divorce proceedings, the media personality reportedly skipped the grieving stage to acceptance as he returned to the dating pool.
Jim Toth Enjoys 'Romantic' Cohabitation With Mystery Woman Four Months After Leaving Reese Witherspoon
In the latest update about the exes' lives, a source revealed that a new flame had captured the former CAA employee's heart. The "Legally Blonde" star's former husband allegedly booked a lavish suite for him and his new woman, filling up his recent days with the unidentified woman's love.
According to the informant, the talent agent and his girlfriend appeared in good spirits as they enjoyed their time together. Addressing their romance, the insider raved: "Jim was staying with a new girlfriend at the Sendero Nosara in Costa Rica."
"They seemed to be staying in a suite, and they looked really happy, just chilling and soaking up that pura vida vibe. It was definitely romantic," the source explained to People Magazine.
As mentioned, the Aliquippa native began dating a new woman four months after his ex-wife announced their separation. In the duo's divorce filing, Witherspoon took the usual Hollywood route by citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.
The documents were filed in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple has been raising their 10-year-old son, Tennessee James. Additionally, the legal notes revealed the former spouses had signed a prenuptial agreement in March 2011, and both parties acknowledged the pact's validity.
The prenup reportedly covered “adequate and sufficient provisions” for the exes' assets and debts. However, the New Orleans native wished to receive a judge's approval on a permanent parenting plan for the pair's son.
Additionally, the court ordered mandatory parenting classes for the former lovers and gave both parties at least sixty days to submit a certificate of completion for this program.
The divorce proceedings came a month after the doting parents shared a joint statement addressing the end of their 11-year marriage. In their message, the pair noted it was "with a great deal of care and consideration" that they made the "difficult decision to divorce."
"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together," the estranged partners' statement read.
Witherspoon and Toth stressed their interests in amicably raising their son, Tennessee, and implored the public for privacy as they navigated this new phase of their lives. Apart from her child with the talent agent, the blonde beauty has two children from a previous relationship.
The Oscar Winner Opened Up About Having 'Control' In Her Divorce Announcement
Months after the revelation of her separation from Toth, the "Water for Elephants" actress broke her silence in a viral interview. In her cover story for Harper's BAZAAR Magazine's Performance Issue, the mother of three compared the end of her two marriages.
Before meeting the talent agent, Witherspoon tied the knot to fellow actor Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2007. The end of the pair's relationship was widely discussed in tabloids, a narrative the box office hitmaker wished she had shared.
“It’s interesting what happened to me. When I was divorced before, the tabloid media got to tell people how I was feeling or processing, and it felt very out of control,” the two-time Golden Globe Award recipient lamented.
“It feels much more authentic to be able to say things in my voice and not let somebody else control what’s happening,” the 47-year-old continued. “Then, there’s speculation, but I can’t control that. All I can do is be my most honest, forthright self and be vulnerable.”
Regarding her feelings about her second divorce, the entertainer confessed it was a difficult period for her. However, she found solace in knowing others were facing similar problems.
“I think about how many other people are going through this experience. I don’t feel isolated at all. I feel very connected,” Witherspoon raved.
