Renee Zellweger & Ant Anstead Are Reportedly ENGAGED!

Renee Zellweger and her man Ant Anstead are headed for the aisle!

Reports have surfaced alleging that the talented actress has been secretly planning her wedding after a low-key engagement with Anstead. If true, this will be her second marriage and Anstead's third following his recent — and very dramatic — split from real estate investor Christina Hall. Meanwhile, the "Bee Movie" screen queen was previously married to country singer Kenny Chesney.

Even though Anstead and Zellweger seemed like an unlikely pair when they were first linked in 2021, they have proven they are in it for the long haul. With that in mind, an insider has told The US Sun that the "Bridget Jones" actress hopes to break free of her "unlucky-in-love" streak by walking down the aisle with her man.

According to the friend, the couple "are keeping their plans incredibly private; they're not planning a big public announcement," with Zellweger "telling her inner circle about organizing their nuptials, everything will be very low-key." The source then reaffirmed that the lovebirds' relationship is "super strong," adding that "they're madly in love, and they can't wait to get hitched."

After ending her four-month union with Chesney, Zellweger had enjoyed other romances with superstars, including comedy star Jim Carrey, actor Bradley Cooper, and White Stripes rocker Jack White.

Unfortunately, none made it to the finish line, triggering comparisons to her "Bridget Jones" character, Helen Fielding, who had no luck finding her fictional happy-ever-after. The "Cold Mountain" star had even addressed the issue herself, stating during an interview:

"All the things that you would most like not to have in common with Bridget are the things that I find I relate to most closely. I've had moments when I feel like I'm sitting beside myself watching my Bridget alter ego just spiraling, circling the drain."

While we wait to see if she and Anstead will last forever, it is worth noting that they have been cohabiting in their Laguna Beach, California, following Zellweger's sale of her Los Angeles Spanish-style home for $6 million.

The "Me, Myself & Irene" star has even gotten the hang of motherhood, spending valuable moments with her man's three kids — Hudson, Archie, and Amelie — at their beachfront residence. She has also been enjoying quality time with the "Celebrity IOU: Joyride" hosts through simple dates, sometimes translating to beach trips and bike riding.

After they moved in together in April, The Blast cited a source's claim that they made the decision to take their relationship to the next level when they found a house they both loved. The insider further declared:

"They are very happy and in love. They have tried to keep their relationship private and low-key because of Hudson."

Before they settled on their new abode, the 44-year-old had reportedly sold the Temple House he shared with Hall before their divorce in 2021. Initially listed for $3.3 million in October 2022, the "For the Love of Cars" star seemingly had a change of heart and pulled it off the market. He soon changed his mind again, as he told fans a few months later:

"Temple is sold. It came at the right time for another property and a change in my personal life that I'm really pleased about."

Selling the California property, which had served as a "sanctuary" during his split from Hall, had come from him being in a better place. In fact, it was alluded that Anstead had no problems doing whatever it required to keep his new-found happiness.  

The English television presenter highlighted that happiness when he uploaded a sweet image of him holding Zellweger around her waist when they went out on a date. He donned a white shirt, gray suit, and white sneakers while she opted for a little black dress, a nude-colored jacket, and silver heels. 

Although the shot was partially blurry, the connection between the twosome was visible as they looked deeply into each other's eyes. In the caption, the "Wheeler Dealers" co-host instructed his fans to "Always pause for moments of magic under twinkly lights…."
