Miranda Lambert Under Fire For Criticizing Fans Taking 'A Selfie' During Her Las Vegas Concert

Country music star Miranda Lambert sparked controversy during her Las Vegas residency when she called out a group of girls taking selfies instead of listening to her heartfelt ballad "Tin Man."

During an electrifying night at her Las Vegas residency, Miranda Lambert found herself in a truly unexpected moment that sparked controversy on social media. As she passionately began singing the emotional ballad "Tin Man," something caught her eye – a group of ladies engrossed in taking the perfect selfies instead of being present in the music.

In a TikTok video posted Sunday, Lambert paused her show and said, "I'm going to stop here for a second. I'm sorry. These girls are worried about a selfie and are not listening to the song."

The "White Liar" singer continued, "It's pissing me off slightly. Sorry, I don't like it. At all. We're here to hear some country music tonight. I'm singing some country damn music." Lambert then restarted "Tin Man" to rapturous applause from the audience, igniting a mixed reaction from her devoted fans.

Some attendees were left disheartened by Lambert's actions at her Las Vegas Residency. Outraged, several fans resigned from the concert in protest, as indicated by various music outlets, per New York Post.

"Let's go — you don't do that to fans," a woman could be heard saying to her companions on the audio as they left their seats. "Imagine it was their favorite song, and they were taking a video, and we're excited…" added another fan, expressing disappointment.

A third fan criticized the songstress, saying, "People pay to go see you, and if they want to take a picture of the memories they are making, it shouldn't cause a crap! They are fans who paid!!

Another fan said, "She could have finished her song and just said some blanket statement like 'let's try to be in the moment and stay off our phones' if she felt like it."

On Monday, July 10, the Country Music Association (CMA) revealed the much-anticipated set list for their upcoming special, filmed during the spectacular 2023 CMA Fest in the heart of downtown Nashville.

The three-hour special will feature an incredible lineup of approximately 30 songs by an impressive range of artists. The stage will be graced by rising stars like the immensely talented Lainey Wilson, HARDY, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, and legendary icons like Reba McEntire, Tanya Tucker, and Alabama.

Lambert, who holds the record for most nominated female artist in CMA Awards history with 61 nominations, will also make multiple appearances through collaborations that will leave fans in awe.

Teaming up with Avril Lavigne, they'll perform a sensational mash-up of Lambert's hit "Kerosene" and Lavigne's classic "Sk8er Boi." The songstress will also serenade viewers with her soulful duet, "If You Were Mine," alongside Leon Bridges.

Lambert will also join forces with CMA Fest co-host Elle King to deliver a triumphant performance of their hit song, "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)."

Amid Lambert's ambitious career endeavors, her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, stands by her side as her biggest cheerleader.

During her engaging tour to promote her highly acclaimed cookbook, "Y'all Eat Yet?," the talented singer found herself in the vibrant city of New York. To make the experience even more special, she brought McLoughlin, a New York native and former dedicated NYPD officer.
