DDG Shades Halle Bailey's Interaction With Male Co-stars
Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., known as DDG, is seemingly not at ease with his girlfriend Bailey engaging in intimate activities with other individuals, as necessitated by her status as an actress and celebrity.
In the rapper's latest song, titled "Famous," he included lyrics that hinted at his feelings of insecurity regarding the situation, leading many to speculate that he was specifically referring to her connection with her male co-star Jonah Hauer-King in Disney's live-action film "The Little Mermaid."
Twitch streamer DDG shades his girlfriend Halle Bailey over being employed in new song “Famous”:

In a segment of the song, he sang, "Why is y'all holdin' hands in the photo?/…You know I'm insecure, that's a no-no," seemingly alluding to Bailey holding hands with Hauer-King during the U.K. premiere of their movie.
The rapper also sang about not wanting to seed Bailey kissing other men in her movies, saying he doesn't care if it's for promo.
The verse read, "Filmin' a movie now you kissing dudes/ I don't give a f**k if that sh*t for promo/ I don't wanna see this sh*t no more."
'Hardest Thing I Did Was Fall In Love With A Famous B**ch'
DDG also seemingly mentioned that falling in love with Bailey has caused him to lose more than he has gained, describing it as the "hardest thing" he has done in his life.
"I don't even ask for much, I ask you to do the basic sh*t / Hardest thing I did was fall in love with a famous b*tch," read a part of the chorus.
Following the song's release, Bailey fans have slammed DDG for his "insecurity," with one fan even asking the rapper to "grow tf up."
They tweeted, "REAL men are secure in everything! He is a lil boy still sucking on milk. This new generation is weird af. She needs to get out of that quickly before it's too late. That dude needs to grow tf up."
However, some other fans chose to sympathize with the rapper's feelings.
One online user commented, "Secure or not. Seeing someone you love and are in a relationship with will make you feel some type of way."
DDG Was Previously Accused Of Cheating On Halle Bailey
It remains to be seen how DDG's new song will affect his relationship with Bailey after the rapper recently faced cheating allegations earlier in the year.
The "Hood Melody" rapper, who has dated Bailey for over a year, was accused of cheating on the actress with his ex-girlfriend, fellow rapper Rubi Rose.
Rose had claimed in February 2023 that he had gifted Halle one of her old shirts, which led to rumors swirling online. However, both DDG and "The Little Mermaid" star shut down the claims.
"The devil is working lol," Halle penned in a tweet at the time per Us Weekly. She then asked her fans not to believe claims coming from unknown sources regarding her relationship.
Bailey added, "Please don't feel into the lies, especially from a third party. Stay blessed everyone."
DDG & Halle Bailey's Relationship
The duo were first linked in January 2022 after they were spotted together at Usher's Las Vegas residency. Later in March, they took to Instagram to confirm they were an item and subsequently made red carpet appearances together.
Towards the end of that year, Bailey publicly discussed her relationship with the rapper, revealing that she had been a long-time fan of his work as a rapper and YouTuber before they crossed paths.
"I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them," Halle told Essence for their 2022 September/October issue, per People Magazine.
She added, "I completely forgot about him. But then I saw that he was dropping music, and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me — and the rest is history."
