Check Out Jenna Johnson's Baby's Hilarious Reaction To Her Homemade Applesauce

Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy just welcomed their first child, Rome, in January 2023.

Now that Rome is getting older, the two are allowing him to try new foods. Johnson decided to make her very own homemade applesauce for their baby boy to try, however, the reaction Rome had was not one that the "Dancing With the Stars" alum was expecting.

Jenna Johnson shared a video of herself making homemade applesauce, and what looks to be homemade sweet potatoes, for Rome to try for the first time. The "Dancing With the Stars" alum said she stayed up all night prepping the two meals, but when Rome tried the applesauce, his reaction was not one that Johnson expected to see.

"Soooo I guess I won’t be staying up all night making him applesauce anymore ????," she captioned the video before adding, "Definitely not the reaction I was expecting lol. My poor baby.. we will be trying different flavors next. Hopefully no more gagging!!"

Fans were so supportive of Johnson, trying to encourage her not to give up. "Lol! Sometimes it’s the texture and they aren’t used to it not the taste! Don’t throw in the towel yet on the applesauce! He’s the cutest!!!," one fan commented on the video.

Another wrote, "Haha my daughter didn’t like homemade apple sauce, but loved sweet potatoes and squash!"

While one of her fans chimed in, "That's so normal! Gagging will happen with actual foods, even purées. My daughter gagged all the time with carrots and we thought she hated them and now they're her favorite."

One of Johnson's fans suggested, "Mix in breast milk if you are still nursing, turn them into popsicles for teething later on!!! That way you don’t waste it!"

While another commented, "Totally normal! They have to adjust to new foods, and it takes a little time! Introduce one thing at a time and hopefully he’ll grow up to love all the things. He’s precious."

The "Dancing With the Stars" alum took to Instagram a few weeks after giving birth to her baby boy, Rome, sharing details surrounding labor.

"The many emotions during Labor and Delivery… excitement, fear, pure exhaustion, and so much love," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I’ve always appreciated my body and what it’s been able to help me do and create within my craft… but nothing can prepare you for what a miraculous vessel it is and what it goes through during labor. About 30 hours of it and we finally got to meet our sweet bubba. Forever grateful I had the best support system to get me through ??."

Fans were supportive of Johnson after she got intimate with her fans, including "Dancing With the Stars" co-star Emma Slater, who commented, "Oh baby this is so beautiful. Proud of you mamma ?❤️." Another fan said, "Congratulations Mama - Bravo ?."
