Jamie Foxx Is Reportedly 'Not 100 Percent' Well Yet Amid Recent Public Appearances After His Health Scare

A new report has revealed that Jamie Foxx is "not 100 percent" yet, despite his recent public appearances. The actor suffered a mysterious health complication back in April and went off the grid to recuperate in a private facility.

He made a return to public view last Sunday during a boat ride on the Chicago River and made a social media comeback that same day. In the meantime, he has yet to open up about his health scare.

Foxx has allegedly not fully recovered from the mysterious illness he suffered in April.

The actor was hospitalized immediately after the health scare before being transferred to a private facility, where he spent several weeks.

A source shared that although the actor is "doing so much better and he's starting to feel like himself again," he is not at "100 percent" yet despite recently making several public appearances.

"He's not 100 percent and is still taking things easy, but he's definitely on the road to recovery," the insider said, per US Weekly.

The source also credited the "Django Unchained" star's family for their support in these moments, adding that they are "making sure that he doesn't take on too much."

The health update comes on the heels of recent sightings of Foxx in public.

Most recently, he was seen performing an act of goodwill by returning a missing purse to its owner while out and about in Chicago.

A video of the actor's kind gesture was taken by the son of the purse owner, who also noted that Foxx "feels good."

"Mom lost her bag in Chicago today. Jamie fox [sic] found it and brought it to her, and he said he feel good. Y'all god is good," the purse owner's son captioned the video.

It appears that Foxx came to the location with a sleek black SUV, as he was seen entering the vehicle after returning the purse.

He also waved to the woman prior to departing in his car. She, in turn, responded with, "Thank you, Jamie," expressing her gratitude to the actor.

After several months of not being seen in public, Foxx made his first public appearance last Sunday in grand style.

The "Back in Action" star was sighted by onlookers enjoying a boat ride on the Chicago River in the company of friends.

He was decked out in all-black attire, which he complemented with dark shades that hid his eyes. In the video, he waved to fans as the vessel traveled across the river and seemed happy to be back in public.

That same day, he made a return to social media after taking a break since his last Instagram post, in which he thanked fans for their prayers while he was hospitalized. However, his recent post did not reference his health scare. Instead, it highlighted the actor's liquor brand, Brown Sugar Bourbon.

He tweeted, "Boat life, Celebrating summer with @brownsugarbbn, adding "Stay blessed!"

Foxx's public appearances have been greatly welcomed by fans, who have remained on edge since his daughter announced on April 12 that the actor had suffered a mysterious health complication.

All through his time away, his family kept details about his illness under wraps for undisclosed reasons.

Upon Foxx's return, he has yet to address the health scare publicly, and it is unclear if he has plans to do so sometime in the future.

In the meantime, he has been engaging in outdoor activities, including a recent late-night outing with friends at Topgolf driving range in Naperville, Ill.

"He was walking regular, not dragging his leg," a source who sighted the actor said per Page Six. "His arm movements were definitely good. He was just regular Jamie."

As for a possible return to work, another source said that the actor will only do so "once the time is right."
