Love truly solves every problem; just ask flight-ready Travis Barker! The Blink-182 drummer recently celebrated a significant aerial milestone, and he owes it all to his perfect partner, Kourtney Kardashian.
In 2008, the heavily-tattooed musician's life flashed before his eyes when the aircraft he boarded crashed. The devastating ordeal claimed the lives of four passengers while the 47-year-old suffered severe injuries.
Excluding his physical damages, the Fontana native experienced mental trauma causing him to avoid planes for thirteen years. However, the +44 rock band co-founder overcame his fear thanks to the therapeutic effect of his marriage to the reality TV star.
Travis Barker Pays Tribute To Kourtney Kardashian For Facilitating His Return To The Sky
Using Instagram's newest Threads platform, the superstar drummer announced that he had come a long way in beating the crushing weight of his harrowing past. Addressing his progress since the 2008 incident, the entertainer credited his loving wife for influencing the change.
"Just flew for the 30th time since my plane crash," Barker revealed. "Wouldn’t be able to tour or enjoy life again the way I do without the healing love of my amazing wife. I love you, @kourtneykardash."
The "Give the Drummer Some" artist's touching post received positive responses from fans. Many commemorated his milestone, while others raved about the effects of his marriage to the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star.
"Thanks to Kourtney, now you can fulfill the dreams of millions in South America. Can’t wait till 2024," an elated follower penned. Echoing similar sentiments, another individual gushed about the power of love, writing, "Isn’t it amazing [what] the power of love can do? Completely disrupt your senses, and cause you to face your fears!! Congratulations on finding love and strength!!!"
"Amazing, Travis, so happy for you! Love really does work wonderful miracles," a third stated, while a fourth applauded Barker's bravery with the sweet comment: "Good shit, Travis. Way to overcome those mental and physical hurdles."
As mentioned above, the 2008 plane crash did a nasty number on the Blink-182 drummer. The Fontana native alongside his security guard, Charles “Che” Still, his assistant Chris Baker, and his best friend, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, were flying from South Carolina to Los Angeles when the accident occurred.

The "Meet The Barkers" alum's bodyguard and assistant passed away in the fatal crash alongside the plane's pilots, James Bland and Sarah Lemmon. Although the LaSalle Records founder survived the incident with his best pal, Goldstein tragically died in 2009.
The death of his frequent collaborator, coupled with the trauma from the accident, left the 47-year-old in an emotionally vulnerable state. The drummer went as far as offering people millions of dollars to “take him out” following his pal's demise.
Down the years, Barker underwent therapy with the support of his children — Alabama, Ariana, and Landon. However, these kids could not inspire their father to fly again. Nobody could until Kardashian stepped into the picture.
The Poosh founder's impact significantly changed the media personality's life as he took his first flight after thirteen years in 2021. Proud of this stellar achievement, the Famous Stars and Straps founder shared a picture of himself kissing his wife in front of the aircraft.
Additionally, this major step influenced the Blink-182 band's 2023 tour, the rock group's first world expedition in ten years. Since Barker was willing to fly, his teammates could finally spread their music across the globe.
The Lemme Wellness Brand Founder's Met Gala Debut Was Stress-Free Thanks To Her Husband
Barker is not the only one grateful to his significant other for their therapeutic effect. Last May, the "Kardashian Konfidential" co-author opened up about the drummer's influence on her Met Gala experience. The 44-year-old previously avoided the event out of fear.
The "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami" star confessed she found the iconic fashion night “too overwhelming and seemed like a lot of pressure.” However, she finally found the courage to make her debut with her tattooed prince charming, blowing her worries away.
“When Travis and I were invited this year, we decided we were going to just enjoy the process, have fun being together, and not stress about it— and that’s exactly what we did!” the entrepreneur explained.
Regarding their de-stressing procedures for the Met Gala, Kardashian revealed she enjoyed a relaxing facial the night before the event from the skincare expert Joanna Czech. Moreover, the spouses enjoyed matcha, worked out, and had lunch before preparing to attend the program.
Additionally, the lovebirds showcased their blossoming relationship at the event, strutting down the prestigious red carpet in matching custom-made outfits by the renowned designer Thom Browne.
