In the years since, Este, Alana, and Danielle Haim have released two additional albums, 2017's "Something To Tell You" and 2020's "Women In Music, Part III"

Long before the band became one of the most well-known indie bands of the last ten years, HAIM released the single "The Wire" from their first album and would go on to plant the seeds to become a fixture at music festivals, creating a stage presence full of unique dance moves and Este's beloved "bass face!"

The trio is gearing up for the release of the "Barbie" soundtrack, which features a contribution from the sisters, but they're also looking back! HAIM announced their plans for how they will commemorate the 10th anniversary of "Days Are Gone."

Danielle discussed vulnerability with the outlet. She said, "It takes a lot of strength to be vulnerable. It was amazing to see [the reaction to the album]. ‘I Know Alone’ was probably written at the darkest depths of my depression,” she continued. “and it was weird because we released it during the pandemic when everyone was alone, and the messages we got from our fans were saying, ‘This has helped us so much.’ There is nothing better than having that connection with someone you don’t know.”

Alana also championed therapy in the interview, calling it "incredibly important." The 31-year-old starred in the Oscar-nominated film "Licorice Pizza."

Este, the oldest sister in the band, lives with type-1 diabetes and revealed that doctors had once advised her to never be a touring musician.

"When I was growing up, doctors told me it would be a really bad idea to be a touring musician," the 37-year-old told Elle UK. "That was the most devastating thing for me. I understand why now, because it's really hard. There are so many things that affect diabetes that nobody ever really talks about. But I wanted to be able to show fellow diabetics that you don't have to let anything hold you back from making your dreams come true," Este continued. "There are days when I'm incredibly 'depresTE' because my blood sugar will be high all day and I won't know why."
