Donald Trump Slams ‘Sloppy’ Chris Christie And ‘Ron DeSanctimonious’

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is taking aim at two Republican nominees ahead of the 2024 Presidential election.

The former POTUS criticized Presidential hopefuls Chris Christie and Ron DeSantis after sharing screenshots of Twitter polls that show him in the lead by a wide margin.

On July 12, the former president took to his Truth Social app to slam Chris Christie for alleging lying about the border wall, Russia, and several other subjects in an interview that aired on Fox News.

"Sloppy Chris Christie, who is polling at 1% and left his State, New Jersey, with an Approval Rating of 9% (the WORST number in State History), was interviewed on FoxNews (of course!) and stated that I only built 47 miles of Border Wall, knowing that the actual number is 463 Miles, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security," Trump wrote.

"This does not include many Miles that we fixed or renovated, or areas that I got Mexico to secure. BEST BORDER EVER!" he continued, adding, "He also lied about Russia & many other subjects!"

In a second message, Donald Trump continued to dig into Chris Christie, saying that he "desperately" tried to join the Trump administration while he was in office. He also took aim at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, calling him "Ron DeSanctimonious."

"Page 2: Sloppy Chris Christie is thrashing about, doing and saying anything to stay relevant," Trump wrote. "He desperately wanted to join the Trump Administration, but I said 'NO!' In 2016, he spent most of his time away from New Jersey in order to campaign for President, much like Ron DeSanctimonious is doing now to Florida."

Trump continued, "Chris ended up getting run out of New Hampshire, where he had almost no vote or popularity. They knew him well - CHRIS CHRISTIE IS A TOTAL LOSER!"

In a third statement made only an hour after the second, Trump took aim at the current U.S. President Joe Biden, calling him "crooked" and alleging that Biden was "attacking and persecuting" him due to Trump's growing popularity in the polls.

"Crooked Joe Biden’s Targeted, Weaponized DOJ & FBI are a grave threat to our Democracy! They are doing Crooked’s DIRTY WORK in attacking and persecuting 'TRUMP,' and only doing so because I am CRUSHING DeSanctimonious and Biden in the Polls," Trump wrote.

"This is planned Election Interference of the highest magnitude, and used to only happen in Third World Countries," he continued. "Now, sadly and terribly, it is happening right here in America, and must be stopped if our Country is to survive. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"
