Kate Hudson Shows Off Son Bing's Drumming Skills In 12th Birthday Tribute

For the 12-year-old's special day, Hudson gave fans insight into his hobbies and passions. Her post emphasized the little one's longtime love for playing the drums and how he is taking after his dad.

The loving mothers uploaded a string of clips of the birthday boy through the years playing the drums, showcasing incredible progression and growth in his drumming skills. The post led with a toddler-aged Bing playing a little mini drum set, and as the slides continued, Bing got older, and his skills improved.

In one incredibly adorable video, Bing is seen expertly playing the drums during a jam session with his older brother Ryder and his mom's fiancé Danny Fujikawa, playing the guitar.

At another moment, Bing's green cake is next to his baby picture. The proud mom's post ends with a video of her strolling with the celebrant and her 4-year-old daughter, Rani. They sang a Birthday song to him, and his mom serenaded him with kisses. The post's caption read:

"Bing is 12 today! My drummer baby. From the first time he played the kick drum, to his smoother pre-teen drumming ways. He plays the drums like he walks through life, sharp, vibrant, caring, dedicated and always perfectly wild and unpredictable! Happy Birthday to my sweet Bing ??We love you!"

Meet The 'Almost Famous' Star's Three Children

The 44-year-old is a mum to three kids — Ryder Russell Robinson, 19, Bingham, 12, and Rani Rose, 4. Ryder, born on Jan. 7, 2004, is the son of Hudson and her ex-husband Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes.

The teenager's middle name has a special meaning — it's an homage to his mom's stepfather, Kurt Russell, who has been her mom Goldie Hawn's partner since 1983. Ryder appears to be following his parents' famous footsteps — he is a musician and plays guitar in his band Codependence.

Also, Ryder is one half of a young Hollywood "it" couple as he has been in a relationship with Iris Apatow— Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann's daughter — since at least February 2022. He graduated high school in June 2022.

As reported previously, the second child and son, Bingham, celebrated his 12th birthday on July 9th. His name is unique, too, as it was the maiden name of his father's mother. In June 2021, Hudson shared that Bing plays on a baseball team.

The "Mother's Day" actor's third child, Rani, was born on October 2, 2018, to her and her now-fiancé. Like her brothers, the tiny tot was given a family name. Hudson explained that Rani [pronounced like Ronnie] was named after Danny's father, Ron Fujikawa, who passed away in 2012. The toddler is also already a budding fashionista and makeup lover in her own right.

Kate Hudson's Relationship With Danny Fujikawa

Last month, The Blast shared how the "Fool's Gold" star expressed gratitude for her current love affair with the musician. During a candid conversation on Chelsea Handler's podcast, "Dear Chelsea," she revealed the unique dynamics of their partnership and shared secrets to their deep connection.

The "Le Divorce" actress said, "It's the best. I mean, it's all about safety. At the end of the day, if you feel that, like, real yummy sense of safety, you feel so much more freedom."

Hudson then credits her man for letting her enjoy freedom in the relationship. In her words, "Danny is the first relationship that I've had that I feel free, adding, even though we're in a monogamous intimate relationship, I don't feel any part of me that feels I need to break out."

The pleased actress finally attributed the singer's lack of "interest in being the center of attention of anything or to pursue fame in any form" to their successful relationship. She recalled being on the red carpet and laughed: "I'll look around for Danny, and he'll be off talking to anybody, and he's so happy."
