Donald Trump Endorses Jesse Law For Re-Election In Clark County
On Monday night, the former U.S. President took to his Truth Social platform to endorse Jesse Law for re-election in Clark County.
"Chairman Jesse Law is doing a fantastic job leading the Clark County Republican Party," Trump wrote. "Jesse was with us in the beginning, and he has worked tirelessly to Secure our Elections and Grow our America First movement."
"Jesse Law has my Complete and Total Endorsement for re-election!" he concluded.
Get To Know Challenger Jill Douglass
Although Trump supporters are familiar with Jesse Law, not too much is known about the longtime Nevada Republican, Jill Douglass. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, she was born in Florida and moved to Nevada in 1994. She has more than 30 years of experience as a financial services advisor and manager.
Douglass has been a Republican since age 18; however, she has only begun getting active in politics in the last few years. “I just really decided that I wanted to be more involved, that our country, that our state, that our county needed people to kind of get off the bench and get in the trenches,” Douglass told the publication.
Douglass wants to encourage more Republicans to vote and stop them from "looking in the rearview mirror." She added, “We can change nothing that’s happened in the past, right? We have to look through the windshield, we have to stay forward-focused."
Both Douglass and Law will participate in a luncheon hosted by the Nevada Republican Club on July 11 at the Ahern Hotel. Clark County Republican members will be able to hear from both candidates before they make a final decision on who to vote for in the upcoming election, which is slated just over a week from now, on July 18.
