Are Rob And Vanessa Done With Each Other On 'Temptation Island'?

When Rob and Vanessa arrived on "Temptation Island," it was apparent that their relationship was a bit rocky and needed some help. And now a few weeks in, and it's looking like they could be leaving the island separately.

As Rob continues to get closer and closer to Desiree, and Vanessa starts to lean more into getting to know Brice, it seems the inevitable is about to happen for this couple. But we all saw that from day one, no?

As each week goes by, a little more distance seems to enter the picture between Vanessa and Rob. He's actually been quite vocal about the fact that they are no longer a couple in his eyes.

When Rob heard Vanessa talking about how she feels that she lowered her standards by dating him during a bonfire reveal, he explained why he felt so "relieved" hearing her say such things.

"Honestly, it's scary that I'm relieved. I haven't been on this island long, and just more and more every day I'm just seeing how bad of a match we are," he said. He also said that as he continues to distance himself from Vanessa, he's finding he's much happier.

"And everyone sees it that every day I look lighter and every day I'm looking better," he said. "It's more and more letting go and I'm happier being myself because I didn't get to be myself around her."

Now that's he's feeling more himself and letting go of the connection he had with Vanessa, he's able to open himself up to the possibility of getting to know someone else.

Rob and Desiree can't exactly deny the connection that's forming between the two of them. After a recent make out session on the couch, it appears that Vanessa is nowhere on Rob's mind.

And after the last bonfire, Rob saw all he needed to in order to hit the gas a bit more to move further away from Vanessa. After seeing her dancing during the girls' villa casino party, he said it didn't "phase him."

"The more and more I let Vanessa go, the happier I am," he said. "The lighter I'm becoming. I'm getting my happiness back because I've been unhappy for a very long time."

So, the question now becomes is Desiree the one for Rob? It's starting to look that way. Desiree is a 26-year-old nutritionist from Los Angeles, California. She's devoted to fitness and hopeful that she will soon find her soulmate. (And maybe she has in Rob, but that still remains to be seen.)

Rob is 24 years old, which is much closer in age to Desiree than Vanessa, who's 34. Rob is a nursing student who met Vanessa abroad. They originally thought it would just be a temporary thing between them, but it ended up turning into a year-long relationship before "TI."

The 10-year age gap may have been standing in their way just a bit because Vanessa was worried that Rob wasn't ready to start a family just yet. And now it's looking like the entire relationship has unraveled as they've been separated since arriving on the island and being introduced to new possible partners.
