It's been months since news of Jamie Foxx's health crisis was confirmed to the world. The iconic actor has finally returned to his Twitter with a post about enjoying a "boat life" summer shortly after He was sighted on a boat ride on the Chicago River.

At the recent premiere of "They Cloned Tyrone," Foxx's co-star, John Boyega, spoke about his health.

Jamie Foxx has finally returned to Twitter after months away because of his recent health crisis. On Sunday, the actor tweeted, "Boat life [Fox emoji] Celebrating summer with @brownsugarbbn. Stay blessed!" Brown Sugar Bourbon is the drink he mentioned in the tweet, and it's a whiskey brand he apparently owns.

Foxx's tweet comes shortly after TMZ shared footage of the actor waving to fans while on a boat cruise on the Chicago River. The tweet and footage quickly went viral on Twitter, with many fans thankful for his return to the platform and recovery.

One fan wrote, "We are so happy to hear from you, king! We've been praying!" Another commented, "That video of Jamie Foxx active and well really made my whole day." Many other fans sent prayers and messages of support for the actor and his family.

He Is 'Doing Great'

Foxx's tweet and boat trip are also his first public appearances since his health crisis. On April 12th, his daughter Corinne released a statement that confirmed her father had recently "experienced a medical complication." After that, the family kept a tight lid on information about his recovery, which caused heavy speculation on his health status.

When she first revealed his health situation, Corinne also posted on Instagram that quick medical intervention had placed Foxx "on his way to recovery." She also thanked fans for their prayers and support on behalf of the whole family.

Finally, on May 3rd, Foxx himself returned to Instagram to post, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed." After the boat sighting, a source also confirmed to People magazine that Foxx is recovering his health and resting. They said, "He is just taking it easy. He's not really having any visitors or anything like that yet but he's doing really really well."

Jamie Foxx Health Is Still On The Mend

On May 12th, Corinne released another statement about Foxx's health because of rumors that had spread. There were multiple claims on social media that their family was preparing for the worst and that the actor had suffered severe medical injuries.

She wrote, "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"

An insider revealed to People a few weeks earlier that Foxx's health was improving. They shared that he'd been stabilized in the hospital and that "doctors are running tests, but he's awake and alert."

Due to his recovery, Foxx was absent at the recent premiere of his new film, "They Cloned Tyrone," in Los Angeles. However, his co-star John Boyega spoke to People and revealed he'd talked to Foxx directly on a call.

He said, "He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro. He's doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can't wait for his return. I gave him the well wishes directly. I gave him all the well wishes. So I'm just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro."

Foxx worked on the film as an actor and co-producer alongside Said Datari Turner. Turner also shared that he's spoken to the "Django Unchained" star and said he's been doing really well. He said, "He's in really, really good shape and spirits. And he'll be back on the screen. He'll be back to work very soon."
