Hollywood star Jamie Foxx has finally been spotted in public for the first time since he was hospitalized for a mystery illness. In a video clip shared online, Foxx can be seen smiling and waving in a black t-shirt and sunglasses while standing on a boat moving down the Chicago River.
This new sighting comes after the actor checked into a medical facility in Chicago where he has been recuperating after his stay at a hospital in Atlanta.

The "Django Unchained" actor was recently spotted in public for the first time since he was hospitalized for a still-unknown illness.
Foxx, who was working on a new movie, "Back In Action," alongside actress Cameron Diaz, has been recuperating at a Chicago facility where he was getting regular visits from his family members.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Foxx looked like he was finally getting back in shape as he smiled from a moving boat while waving at a group of excited fans who had passed him in their own vessel.
The movie star had on a pair of sunglasses and a dark t-shirt and also had some company on the mega-boat, which was reportedly cruising down the Chicago River.
Jamie Foxx's Mansion Is Under Renovation
According to a Page Six report, Foxx's California villa is being renovated while the actor continues to recuperate in a private facility.
The Mediterranean-style mansion, worth $10.5 million, consists of a living room, multiple bedrooms, baths, a dining area, a gym, a kitchen, a library, a game room, a recording studio, and a massive garage that can contain five cars.
The gorgeous mansion also features areas for outdoor sporting activities, including tennis courts, a basketball court, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Photographs obtained by the news outlet provided visual proof of the ongoing renovations which were taking place at the expansive 17,000-square-foot residence. One snapshot showcased a large dumpster filled up with discarded construction materials in the mansion's backyard.
Another photo revealed the presence of handyman equipment, including a ladder and a worker's table, alongside stacks of wooden slabs.
In the meantime, it is unclear whether these modifications were being carried out in preparation for Foxx's return or were simply routine maintenance tasks conducted on the property.
Jamie Foxx's Daughter Slams False News On Her Father's Health
Foxx's daughter Corinne recently had to shut down false reports concerning her father's health after news began spreading that his condition was getting worse.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she stated at the time that he was moved out of the hospital and is now "recuperating" from the effects of his medical emergency.
Corinne, who hosts the game show "Beat Shazam" alongside her father, also clarified that Foxx's physical ability had not been damaged at all, adding that her father even partook in a game of pickleball at the facility where he was recuperating.
"Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. He was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support," Corinne posted, per The Blast.
Jamie Foxx Thanks Fans For Their Prayers
Amid his much-expected break from social media due to his health battle, Foxx made a brief return to show his gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their prayers and support.
"Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," he said, alongside heart and fox emojis, as reported by The Blast.
Foxx also made sure to thank "The Masked Singer" host Nick Cannon on his Instagram Story, referring to the comedian's temporary position as the host of "Beat Shazam" in his absence. Kelly Osbourne would also replace Foxx's daughter, Corinne, amid her father's recovery.
"Appreciate ya, my boy, [Nick Cannon]," he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. "See u all soon."
Although the father-daughter duo has been temporarily replaced on "Beat Shazam," they have another upcoming gig together as hosts of the new music guessing game show called "We Are Family" on FOX, which is set to premiere next year, 2024.
"We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam," Foxx and his daughter said, in a joint statement, per People magazine.
"We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we've had creating it when it premieres next year," they added.
