Lindsay Arnold Hit With Waves of Controversy After Taking 2-Year-Old Surfing

Former "Dancing With the Stars" pro Lindsay Arnold recently took her two-year-old daughter, Sage, surfing.

The 29-year-old shared a video of their experience, which is causing quite the controversy on Instagram.

The now mother of two recently made a "core memory" with her two-year-old daughter, Sage, as they went surfing together.

Arnold shared a video of the experience, showing the professional dancer standing on the surfboard while holding onto her daughter, Sage. Later on in the video, Sage can be seen standing between Arnold's legs while the professional dancer balances on the surfboard.

"Core memory ? so proud of our sweet and brave girl! Can't wait for more of these fun firsts with my Sagey girl ❤️," she captioned the post.

Many of her fans took to the comments section to express concern over Arnold's video, worrying about Sage's safety. "I see mom is strong and has great balance. But am I the only one that thinks this is too high risk and dangerous for the baby? ?," one fan wrote while another commented, "Children are not props or toys to be used to show off our own agility. I personally am disappointed in the decision to do this at such a young age. It shows poor judgement."

Others couldn't get over how balanced and talented Arnold was, writing things such as "I don’t know about anyone else here but I’m like wildly impressed at you Linds for doing that one handed and no handed with an extra little person lol ermmmmm icon!!!!!" and "The fact that you could pick her up like you weren’t even surfing is insanely amazing ???."

Another chimed in, "That’s trust right there. She’s brave because she trusts her momma. And HOLY are you strong!," while one user expressed, "Your core strength after just having a baby ? this is the cutest thing!!!"

One of Arnold's fans wrote, "All those swimming lessons taught Sage not to be afraid of the water. Well done Sagey girl!! ?‍♀️," as another chimed in, "The strength it takes to do this, wow! ? What an inspiration , and Sage did so well!"

Just a few weeks before the most recent season of “Dancing With the Stars” began, Lindsay Arnold announced she would be stepping away from the show.

“I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing with the Stars this season,” she wrote alongside a photo of her, her husband and daughter Sage. “This has been one of the hardest decisions to make but ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family. DWTS has been a part of my life for over 10 years now and when I say I love the show with all of my heart I mean it!! This show has changed my life forever and will always mean the world to me.”

She continued to explain the reason behind the decision, writing, “As many of you know my family and I live in UT and in order to do DWTS I have to move myself and my daughter Sage out to LA and leave behind my husband Sam who works full time here in Utah. Logistically there is SO much involved with making this happen and there is a lot of sacrifice that has to be made that unfortunately just did not feel right for us this time around.”
