Helbig Announced Her Diagnosis In Nearly Eight-Minute YouTube Video
Helbig told her subscribers, "...I know. It's very shocking, it's very surreal, it doesn't sound real, but it's real," before revealing she had found out "about a month ago."
"And I've had a decent amount of time to process and start the process, and so I'm finally ready to share with you," Helbig continued.
Despite her nerves, Helbig continued to inform viewers about her triple-positive breast cancer diagnosis. She would share how medical professionals have reassured her that this type of cancer is "super treatable" and "highly beatable."

"We're going for a cure, not remission here, which is exciting, encouraging, helpful [and] good," Helbig added.
Helbig would also share her doctors' treatment plan, describing it as being "very clear" for her.
After revealing she had a port insertion, Helbig described the process as making her diagnosis "much more real" and announced it had made her feel "eager" to go public with the diagnosis.
"I do feel like I have been existing with a big secret, and I just wanted and felt compelled to let you know," the vlogger continued.
In the caption of her Instagram post announcing the news, Helbig joked, "...And look at me go, finally using my boobs for attention on the internet 🙃" Several YouTube personalities and celebrities would shower Helbig with good wishes, including Brittany Furlan, Lance Bass, and Christy Carlson Romano.

Hart would also post an Instagram tribute to her best friend; Helbig's "This Might Get Weird" co-host would write, "Grace Helbig and I have lived a million lives together. Seen each other be countless different versions of ourselves. But I can confidently say this version of Grace is the best and most prepared to take on this challenge. You got this, best friend! 💪🏼 💜"
Hart and Helbig Discussed, The Diagnosis Of 'This, Might Get Weird'
The duo would not avoid discussing Helbig's diagnosis on the latest episode of "This Might Get Weird."
Hart and Helbig cheerfully launched into the episode, with Hart joking, "Not much going on this week in your world, huh?" with Helbig responding, "Truly! I'm like, 'Do you have anything to talk about this week cause I'm light on conversation topics," she continued with a laugh.

Helbig would inform viewers that the day she had revealed the news (Monday, July 3rd) had felt "intense."
"I'm so overwhelmed by everyone's kindness which might contribute to my exhaustion today," she continued. "But I also am so relieved to have told people and to have it out there. I was so nervous about it, but I just felt like I was walking around with this big, big secret."
"As scary as it was making a video talking about it, the response from everyone is so unbelievable. I am still, I think, a bit in frozen shock about just how genuinely warm and supportive everyone is..." Helbig went on to say.
Hart would share how she found out about her pal's news.

"I returned from my vacation, and we podcasted the next morning. I'm over here talkin' bout crab walking naked through a spa..." While Hart is telling the story, Helbig is hysterically laughing and goes on to reveal Hart hadn't known for a few episodes.
"For an episode or two, you didn't know, and I just quietly, like, we kept on. But that one where you're telling possibly the funniest story that either one of us has ever told in the four years of doing this podcast, I'm just sitting there quietly knowing to myself, 'this woman is having a blast, and this is the funniest story ever, and I'm about to devastate her whole universe as soon as this is over!'' Helbig laughed.
