During the event, Beckham also opened up about signing seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi for Inter Miami.

Bringing the Argentine to the Floridan side had reportedly been in the works since 2019. Eventually, it became a success upon Messi cutting ties with French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain FC at the end of the 2022–2023 season.

"My dream from the word go was to bring the best players in the game to Miami, wherever they were in their career. I made that commitment to our fans," said Beckham, who also noted that he was in Japan when the news went viral.

The multi-hyphenate also mentioned that he was excited about the acquisition, describing it as a "massive moment" for the club.

According to People magazine, the loved-up couple's anniversary celebration comes five years after they renewed their wedding vows.

They spoke about the event during an interview with BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, revealing that they made the ceremony more intimate, unlike their elaborate first wedding.

"It was a lot more private, about six people there in our house," Beckham said before joking about wearing a matching ensemble with his wife at their first wedding.

During the interview, the footballing legend also noted that having a "strong family unit" and being "brought up with the right values" have helped him and Victoria push through difficult times in their marriage.
