Kimora Lee Praises Herself For Being A 'Tough Chick' After Embarrassing Fight With Russell Simmons

Kimora Lee Simmons isn’t backing down when it comes to Russell Simmons and the shame he put her and their kids through.

The single mom attended Essence Fest where she was bombarded with questions about t very public conversation she had with her ex-husband and father of two of her children Aoki Lee and Ming Lee Simmons.

“I’m always OK. I’m a tough chick. I’m a single mom of five kids,” she insists. “That’s why I’m here because so many women are here. So much black girl joy, brown girl joy, all the shades of joy. So, it just feels good for me to be in a room like this,” continued the former model.

Plus, the crowd has been giving her great energy to feed off of, she described it as “coming home” and “Everybody’s been like, ‘Auntie Kimora! Auntie’s here.”

The incident was just a few weeks ago and this marks Kimora's first appearance since blasting Simmons in an IG Live a move that according to her daughter Aoki was a long time coming. She accused the “broke” mogul of giving his daughters “panic attacks” every time they heard his voice.

The 65-year-old was accused of being “directly harmful” to the girls. Aoki also hopped on the gram to share her own experiences with her father who she describes as verbally abusive. The 20-year-old shared that her father has called her out her name many times.

Not just her, but her mom and sister, Ming as well “sluts,” “whores,” and “b***hes,” to be exact. He has dragged the kids into legal situations that are none of their business. According to her, “every phone call” with her dad is filled with “anger,” “rage,” “cursing” and “screaming.”

Aoki is speaking up for herself and her sister and had to restate in the sad video so hopefully, her father would understand this time. “I did not side with anyone over any legal business, he’s been directly harmful TO ME,” Aoki continued. “He tries to get at my mom by hurting US!”

As for Ming, she kind of kicked this who thing off by wishing her mom a happy Father’s Day on her IG Stories instead of Russell. The 23-year-old clearly triggered her dad who took it upon himself to blame Kimora for allegedly being an obstacle to him having a good relationship with his kids.

Simmons eventually apologized on his Instagram Stories. “DEEPLY sorry for being frustrated and yelling . . .but know this . . . there are no conditions . . . for sure i love you guys more than i love myself.” He continued. “God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok, be strong.”

Up until Father’s Day this year it was assumed that the big blended family were doing quite well with one another. Just last year he was praising Kimora as a mom and how great she is at keeping the family together.

Kimora brought up in her Live that Russell was someone who her other children called “uncle” and loves to be around. It’s giving façade! Thank goodness Kimora is keeping herself together. Essence Fest was the best place for her to be after all of that.
