'GOT' Star Kit Harington Has Welcomed His Second Child With His Wife, Rose Leslie

"Game of Thrones" actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have welcomed their second child together.

Harington revealed that he and Leslie were expecting their second child during an appearance on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in February.

The "GOT" couple had their first child in 2021, three years after tieing the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony at Leslie's ancestral home in Scotland.

Harington and Leslie have reportedly welcomed their second child together. A rep for the couple revealed to Page Six that they are "delighted to have welcomed a little girl into the family."

Back in February, Harington announced the news of his wife's second pregnancy while appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." At the time, he talked about how surprised his son would be, saying that he was "about to get the shock of his life which is that he's about to get a brother or sister."

The actor also spoke on the difference between his experience with the first and second pregnancies, admitting he was "terrified." He said, "You know, with the first baby, you're like walking on clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months — well, the man is anyway. But this time, the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick."

Harington and Leslie met on the set of  "Game of Thrones," where they played the roles of Jon Snow and Ygritte. They soon fell in love, just like their characters, and got married in 2018 in Scotland.

News of Leslie's first pregnancy was revealed in 2020 after she appeared on the cover of Make Magazine in a gorgeous black and white photo revealing her baby bump. Then in 2021, the duo were spotted out and about with their baby boy strapped to Leslie's chest. 

In his appearance on "Tonight Show," Harington was asked what his son thinks of having a new family member, and the actor stated that the child hadn't "quite conceptually understood it just yet."

"We're trying to get him ready for it," he added. "We point to Rose's tummy and we say, 'Mommy's baby, mommy's baby.' And he points to his tummy and goes, 'My baby.' I'm quite sure that's — yeah, you'll know soon enough."

Still, during his "Tonight Show" appearance, Harrington gushed about his son, admitting that he is "quite smart."

"It's surprising, seeing as we're both actors," Harington quipped, referring to him and his wife and their acting career. "We're like; we're not sure quite where that's come from ... He likes applause."

He then explained how his son seems to have a thing for applause, joking that he shouldn't waste his intelligence chasing an acting career. 

"Every time he does something good, we give him applause, and we're worrying that's kind of pushing him towards acting," Harrington said. "We're a bit like, 'Eh, you might be too smart for this. Go save the word, we're sick, we had no choice.'"

In her cover story for Harper's Bazaar UK's June 2022 issue, Leslie got candid about her husband's past struggles with alcohol addiction, sharing how he overcame it.

"For Kit, being an addict, it's very important for him to recognize himself as such," Leslie told the publication. She added, "The AA community has provided such a loving space for him to feel heard, to make sure he's not alone. But if it weren't for rehab, he would be in a very different headspace right now."

In 2019, Harington took a break from acting after checking into a rehab facility in Connecticut just before the final season of "Game of Thrones" aired. After putting in the work at the rehab center, Harington was soon free of his addiction struggles and has since been focused on staying sober.

Leslie confirmed to Harper's Bazaar that the "Eternals" actor has been alcohol-free for over three years. She also added that although she has learned a lot about addiction, it is completely up to her husband to remain sober and not relapse. 

"I've learned a lot about addiction and it's something Kit is forever going to be aware of, but it's on him whether he chooses to drink again."

Leslie continued, "No amount of nannying is going to be able to stop him from doing what he decides to do. I don't choose to put that pressure on myself. The responsibility for his behavior is on him. It's not on me to guard him from it."
