Prince William and his eldest son Prince George spent meaningful time together over the weekend, enjoying a cricket game while out in public.
The Prince of Wales, who is first in line to the British throne, and his wife, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, announced the arrival of their first child, Prince George, 9, in 2013 and have since groomed the young Prince to prepare for his role as a future king by instilling core values in him, such as socializing, and attending sports events.
The influential parents, who also share two other children – Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, seem to be doing excellently well as they raise their kids to be well-rounded community members.
Prince William Excitedly Explains Cricket Game To Prince George
The father and son duo stole the hearts of spectators with their close bond as they attended a cricket game at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London. ET Online reported that the Royals occupied reserved front-row seats, where they eagerly watched the game and exchanged ideas.
For the occasion, the loving dad donned a light blue button-up shirt under a gray sport coat and added a pair of dark sunglasses to complement his outfit. Meanwhile, the nine-year-old Prince, dressed like his dad, looked trimmed in a striped light blue shirt and a dark blue sport coat.
Getting comfortable as the game progressed, the Prince of Wales was captured, giving vivid details of the play to his attentive son.
In another image, the young Prince looked happy and grateful as he was presented with a gift by an unidentified individual, sitting with the pair. At some point, George also enjoyed a pizza break with his dad.
George's relaxed demeanor at the public function does not surprise the British media as the nine-year-old joined his father, Prince William, and mother, Middleton, Princess of Wales, to watch a soccer match at Wembley Stadium in June 2021.
The Blast shared that the trio looked hopeful and thrilled to witness the English national team take on Germany in a win-or-go-home match at the European Championships. Wearing coordinating colors for the event, Prince William and Prince George donned navy blue suits, while the Duchess of Cambridge looked striking and elegant dressed in a red blazer.
Interestingly, the young Prince was only seven years old when he attended the game, but he looked remarkably mature at such a tender age, wearing a full suit and tie.
Not only did he appear, but he was focused on the game, paying rapt attention as he watched the English national team battle to bring the trophy home.
While it is rumored that Prince William attends these games out of leisure and to entertain himself and his family, it is worthy of note that the Heir to the British throne is the current honorary president of the British FA.
Aside from the presence of the British Royal family, other distinguished celebrities were in attendance at the match and were seated behind the Cambridges'. The likes of English former professional footballer David Beckham and talented singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran all conveyed at Wembley Stadium to watch England beat Germany.
The Doting Father Is Already Preparing His Son For Kingly Roles
While Prince William is showing Prince George the fun part of Royal functions, the dad of three is teaching the young Prince about leadership qualities.
Per reports, both the Prince and Princess of Wales have been using gentle techniques and methods to prepare Prince George for his role as a future King. Their unique way of grooming their eldest son is through storytelling. And their reason for this is that the method is less abrasive and conducive for the growing child.
According to a source close to the family, "William and Kate have already talked to George and Charlotte about their future roles, but in a child-like way so that they understand without feeling overwhelmed. George knows there's something special about him and that he'll be the future King of England one day."
Going through the same procedure as a child, Prince William knows exactly what the young Prince is experiencing, and he and his wife intend to make the process as seamless as possible for their eldest son.
